I would imagine the agent of these players have a big say in where these bids land.
Top agents will have signed up these kids and would be warning the likes of west coast and Richmond not to put their futures at their aligned academy clubs in jeopardy by getting smart at the draft and bidding too soon.

Particularly this year where there’s some (very slight) chance the clubs (GC & Bris) won’t have the points to match.

Mark my words - Uwland, Annable and Patterson will not be bid on before picks 4-9. Probably later to be honest.

For a player who had his preseason wiped out yes his 2025 was most certainly a good year. He shapes at worst as a play with a combination of attributes of Walker and Simpson. His 1st 3 years on a list were tracking better than Jordan Clarks first 3 years. His second and third years better than Hayden Youngs second and third years where Hayden was building fitness. His potential is to be an elite player if he can gain peak fitness.
