What does taking candy from a baby mean in that interview??

I’m confused
Yes that threw me too. The quote was in relation to ( I think) some one or something ( but not Jamarra himself apparently) was keeping him away from football and training.
“ Bitter pill to swallow” would maybe be the better idiom for him to use.

Cringeworthy clip.

My takeaway was basically 'well that didn't stop you clubbing and partying it up, did it?'

Anyway. Just ship him off as quick as you can, Dogs.

Couldn’t or wouldn’t tick if the requirements to allow him to play . Sounds like a contract break to me. We’ll have our money back thanks.

Jamarra still appears to have taken no accountability for the situation. Complete victim mentality.

I'm sure he's dealt with genuine family issues but those family issues aren't at Love Machine at 2am every weekend.
Thankfully there are no night clubs bikies or drugs up on the Goldy so he will be fine

That news clip was cringe worthy.
Loved the part where he said he was still contracted to the Dogs so his commitment is with them, although that commitment only accounts for collecting his pay packet, not towards turning up for training, playing games (VFL), attending club functions, supporting his fellow team mates in games ie AFL or VFL. Was just a puff piece put together by his PR team to try and make him look like he's "trying".

Presumably his involvement in this game would have also needed to have been ticked off by the club, given injury risk etc? Would love to know if that occured or not...

I don't think we will get an answer to this question until after a potential trade to Gold Coast is done so as not to diminish JUH's already limited trade value any further.

Important question though and I would like to know the answer.

I think the club have written him off as a sunk cost and don't really care at this point.

Anything that they get in return will likely be bundled up with other picks and Jamarra as we close the book on a sad footnote on what could've been in the clubs history.

Fitness, especially at a professional level, is cumulative.

That year off is going to hurt him long term, if there is a long term.
He’s been training to be a professional athlete since 13 or whatever. Taking a year off at 23 won’t do him any long term harm. I concede it will take time though. Might struggle through 2026 before being able to get back to his best.

Seems he feels he has been prevented from playing footy by external sources and that he is the victim.
The thing that I took from what in essence was a doorstop and not really an interview. And it's not a new revelation for me. Is that he's still has the mindset of a child who was a gifted athlete thinking that he could just turn up and play like he did as a junior. And everything else like professional standards and expectations were mere white noise and distraction from his returning to the game.

I suspect that he thought that the music would just keep playing and his chair would always be there waiting for him. I doubt he ever suspected that his chair would be pulled out from under him leaving him scrambling around for another before the music stopped for good.

I understand his personal struggles.

But he's clearly misjudged things more than any of his wayward shots on goal.

So given budarick is coming form the suns, does it make sense to do a straight swap with some negotiations about salary?

We might end up with a fairly cash and pick neutral exchange of JUH for CB - i.e. some of JUHs salary to suns, rest to budarick

on a related note, check out the wiki - its already been updated :p
