Where we start and where you end up are two different things. #3 by itself is better compensation than they get from a free agency move. but yes Port would definitely demand much more. One of? It'd need both as a starting point
Yes I should have said "better compensation than". If it went ot a trade he would be worth more. But it doesn't mean you start thereOne of? You jest. It’s taking both plus a bit

He has a knack for kicking goals when we need them. A fit Duds could be a huge weapon for us next year.Random thought but jeez I hope Duds comes back fit
with the extra bench spot we are already playing 2x rucks so that spot should go to an attacking player, can see him being the one who takes it
Can afford to play him on slightly less gametime too as a burst player
Glad Bruce extended already. Not for Tasmania. They can take any out of contract player in 2027 or 2028 as an unrestricted free agent. One per club though. Plus Free agents.
Weller trade request came through halfway through trade period as well. Please no surprise trade requests out. Still traumatised from the Schultz news coming out of nowhere
Honestly bring Hammer in purely for team morale - would be best on at every off field function.Got any list room for Hamish Brayshaw? I'd hate to see AB go to Tassie too.
The fact that I can’t tell if this a joke or not is worryingFor the TLDW crowd:
Thinks McVee gets done pretty easily now that we can trade first rounders 2 years ahead.
Until he signs a new contract i'll be nervous given Tassie are coming in - our best player by some margin and our next captain. I want both things locked in asap.Caleb Serong chat is hilarious.
It's overs. Plain and simple.Makes sense, both have too much to get done to piss around on what should be an easy trade.
I think 7 normally is overs for Flanders who is a decent player but is riding a bit of the dreamteam boost to his actual impact in game. I imagine 7 for Flanders (whose contract status doesnt mean much IMO because Suns need him out for other deals) is a bit of a reflection on this drafts quality...
He's Out of contract - pick 32 take it or leave it - they'll eventually take it so they don't end up with nothing. Why are we the ones required to ‘compromise’ to suit Melbourne.
Here’s pick 32. Upgrade it yourselves if that’s what you want.
Melbourne compromised in the Ed Langdon deal. Don't see how this is any different. Why are we the ones required to ‘compromise’ to suit Melbourne.

McVee is good enough that you just do what it takes short of giving up a first rounder.
I'm sorry but this simply is not true.Blake Acres - future 3rd round pick
Comfortably better than McVee at the time of trade.
