Can afford to play him on slightly less gametime too as a burst player

I think 7 normally is overs for Flanders who is a decent player but is riding a bit of the dreamteam boost to his actual impact in game. I imagine 7 for Flanders (whose contract status doesnt mean much IMO because Suns need him out for other deals) is a bit of a reflection on this drafts quality...

It's overs. Plain and simple.

He'd get a game for pretty much every team in the competition but, outside the worst 4-5 teams in the competition, he's not a top ten player in any of them. He's been around long enough that potential doesn't come into anymore.

I'm sorry but this simply is not true.

Besides we're talking about a 21 year old vs a 27 year old at the time.

A player's contract status makes far less impact most of the time than people seem to think. Stop quoting extreme examples and look at a bigger picture. Most of the time clubs negotiate and get a reasonably fair outcome.

This is a player I'd happily trade a pick in the 20s for. He's a very good footballer which has attributes our team desperately needs to take the next step.
