Which is it?

He really does have you in a pickle, doesn't he?

It's only Collingwood supporters, the media, the coaches, the umpires and the players frothing over him - everyone else thinks he's a seagull.

Why is that a bad thing? Only if you’re trying to say Nick is the goat when he’s not rated best on the team

In Martin's second year being 2011 he averaged 22 disposals and 1.5 goals per game. Here is the list of players from 2018-2025 that did that:

Isaac Heeney in 2025

Yep...that's it...1 x player in the last 8 years. Martin did it in a bottom team in his second year.

Didak did 24 and 1.7 the year before.

Poor Dusty not at Didz level, no shame in that as not many were.

Apparently the only reason he gets Brownlow votes and Coaches votes is because he has noone at Collingwood to compete with...

But when we finish top 4 and win a flag it's because the old blokes are carrying us.

I find it pretty remarkable that given all the fawning over Daicos that he isn’t even rated 1st by his own club at the B&F.

It’s clear that he has become very overrated. It’s more of a wake up call I think, stop peddling stats that lead into all these player ratings when quite obviously we are seeing stats grossly overrated against impact. I think he is an excellent player but I don’t think he is anywhere near as good as people have made him out to be. I mean, even his club thinks he isn’t the best and fairest.

Might be time to kill this thread I think…
