I think they're a top club these days. Multiple flags, plenty of members, seem well-run off field.

They've gone to the bottom to build their list via the traditional method the system was designed for. You can disagree with that method all you want but to label them not a "top club" because they strategically chose to rebuild via the draft before Tasmania came in is pretty shortsighted.

Now if they stay at the bottom, ala North (or Carlton even), then your argument will have merit.

They have enough tickets in the bank for now imo.
