• Brandon Starcevich arrives at West Coast in a three team deal
• Tylar Young (Richmond) arrived at West Coast in exchange for Pick 38.
• Deven Robertson (Brisbane) has agreed to join West Coast and will be signed on to the rookie list after being delisted by Brisbane

Out:

• Oscar Allen joins Brisbane as a FA - West Coast receive Pick 2 as compensation
• Liam Ryan and a 2027 R3 pick has been traded to St Kilda for a 2026 R2 pick
• Campbell Chesser has been traded to Carlton for Pick 41
• Jayden Hunt announces retirement
• Jack Petruccelle, Callum Jamieson and Loch Rawlinson not offered new contracts
• Coen Livingstone joins the list of players not offered a new contract

• Jamie Cripps and Malakai Champion seem to have been offered new contracts despite there being no official announcement. Means that all players out of contract for 2025 have been given new contracts despite or removed from the playing list

It’s the plus more for Freo that’s the problem in that trade, the more would likely have to come from us and would be 22 or a F2.

Receiving more than just pick 12 is not a good sign, for what else we’ve added on top of 16 + 22.

It’ll be our F2. They need points next year, delivers them McVee and all but guarantees they can match a Robinson bid next year.

Guessing at 12 plus points filler and Starc for 16, 23, F2. Seems fine.

After Brisbane lodge the papers which as of now they haven't done yet.

On points which mean nothing to us this values Starcevich at 20/21.

On points which mean nothing to Freo they go backwards 73 points to split 12 into two picks.

Brisbane gain 807 points which is worth pick 19/20.

Feel like this would be a totally unnecessary trade to do on day 2 and we could've just dealt with Freo directly for pick swaps.

Yeah agree it would be unnecessary for day 2 but I think everyone would come away happy in that trade.

Would anyone offer a better deal to Freo for 12 would be the only question.

Depending on what the Plus more is but we might be looking at taking 4 picks on the first night then staying out of the draft except for the nga picks … could be a good strategy.
