I think Cal's going to need a box of tissues and a moment alone. He seems pretty excited about this one.
Mega Trade on Day 3, it's Trade Radio's wet dream. There's a whole day's content of breaking down this trade, speculating on who the respective clubs will use the picks on, updating best 23s etc. Content. Ad. Content. Ad. Content. Ad. Content. Ad. Content. Ad. Content. Ad. Content. Ad. Content. Ad. Content. Ad. Content. Ad. Content. Ad. Content. Ad. Content. Ad. Content. Ad. See you tomorrow at 7.00am.

if Whitlock is being pushed fwd, then you would think we are ok for a kpf... but defence is another issue
Word around was that we were playing Whitlock forward so he had some semblance of structure given our back line was constantly under fire. Did similar with Dawson. Long term sounds like Dawson Whitlock duo down back, which I'm excited about.

im sure he is a backman not fwd

Hopefully to get one of small forward, kpf or rebounding half back
Exactly.

The 4 names I've fallen for a bit;

Dovaston (ducks a bit, can see his action causing some roo rah in the stands)
Barker (knee)
Schubert (I actually think he could be the one for CHF)
O Taylor as E Taylor won't be available.

Fingers crossed Thursfields know what he's doing. Cos Rawling sure as **** doesn't.

It's been done to death, but for sure we missed a few opportunities, such as trading the JHF pick to Crows (at the time I didn't think it was a great deal at the time but Crows stagnated the next year), shifting back with the Duursma pick with the Dees to take Curtin/COS/Caddy (would've got lucky with Tauru the next year as Dees nosedived unexpectedly), and there's a few trades we could have not done (CCJ & BGeorge, Fisher) in hindsight and we'd probably be better off. Anyway, what's done is done. At some point we need to move on and deal with the present.

I agree about moving on, but you can only move on if you review what you have done and learn from it and change for the better. Has there been any evidence that our decision making has improved over time? I think the only thing that has been restraining us so far this year is that none of the B/C grade players want to come here. If a Windhager asked for a trade to us, we would probably be compromising our 2026 draft hand. It isn't just the horrible trades we do but it is the entire list management process of evaluating where we are and how we go about putting a team together.

I'd love to add Swallow
So
Forgetting N Buckley.
We surely dodged a bullet here and not having him on some expensive long term contract. Has been a very poor return with repeated injuries.

GREATER Western Sydney star Josh Kelly is set to miss most of the 2026 season after major hip surgery was decided as the best course of action to solve a lingering problem.

The 30-year-old is understood to have decided in recent days to undergo hip resurfacing surgery later this month to address a long-standing hip injury that limited him across 2024 and 2025.

Dodged a bullet? What was it, 1993? We missed out on ~2 more flags. Imagine Buckley (Nafan) kicking to WCarey...

The circle-jerk would have been one for the absolute ages.
