Unfortunately Collingwood has become all about Daicos. McCrae has either been following Fadge or just consumes every single media article on him.
Beyond childish and ridiculously petulant to suggest a change is needed because your star didn’t win. Looks even worse when his father walks out at as well. Imagine how much of a pain in the arse Peter would have been at Saturday morning sport? No doubt Daicos is an absolute jet but the coach with his head so far up his arse is not professional.

The games certainly played differently than it was even 5-7 years ago I think.
Might be some clubs have one or two players that are given license to be playmakers and all others have roles and running patterns.
Daicos isn’t an inside midfielder
Daicos isnt a goal scoring mid
He’s a playmaker
I notice that with Collingwood that they give Nick license.
I don’t know if you could’ve won if Pendlebury’s 37 year old calves hadn’t failed on the biggest night that ended your clubs season or if Howes old man Groins hadnt have given way…he couldn’t play out full games even on return.
But if you build your entire gameplan around one player and he doesn’t get a single touch in the last quarter of a Preliminary Final as your teams main midfielder your club isn’t going to win those important games.
It’s not really a GOAT sortve a game is it?

The AFLCA award in 2024 should be handed back as its now clear that Fly fixed the result of that. 5 votes to Daicos in the match vs Carlton was the biggest farce in the history of the award.
