Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.

Free Agency Period: Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

Hate to be a downer but "the Devils will be handed picks No.1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13, and the first selection of each subsequent round in their first draft, which is set to be in 2027." - that's 9 picks being inserted before WC's 3rd rounder. I think it will end up being more than 12 above our F2 number and barely worth anything.

Let's hope its a deep draft then, and a Boxshall & Garcia type, pop out late

I’d be absolutely thrilled if we up and went home at this point - I fear the good parts are over.

What I hope doesn’t happen from here:

• Marshall traded for unders for no reason
• Over pay for Ryan and Aleer
• Trade Steele to essendon

Best outcome imo from this point

• Keep Marshall
• F2 for Ryan with a late pick coming back
• Pass on Aleer due to asking price 40+ pick would be ok
• Keep Steele

That program is clearly paying dividends and should be very good for us in the future for attracting such stars. Imagine if Kozzy got sick of the Dees...

I feel like setting up the "West Coast 2027 death ride" is premature. But I hope an excellent 2026 West Coast performance lulls the Eagles into a state of hubris for the following season and they drop back for our all-important 2027 third rounder. For what it's worth, and in case I forget to post in two and a half years, I am delighted that we picked up whoever the 2027 3rd-round pick is. I couldn't believe he slid so far, and he's ready-made for the top tier.
