2025 List Management Discussion - Part 4

Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.
Be respectful. You are allowed to disagree with someone - but play the ball, not the man. Repeat offenders will have their posting rights revoked.

Thanks to Lore once again for this incredibly useful spreadsheet.

2025 KEY DATES
Free Agency Period:
Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

Pretty happy to just wait and see what happens before criticising the club for pulling out.

Reckon it's more that GWS were just demanding overs for someone that's OOC, so we just put the stake in the ground and say you can have the F4 or nothing at all.

If we HAVE pulled out, that's kind of just fair game isn't it? Things change, players sign long term deals and then demand trades all the time.. Clubs can do the same. Remember Ross went up and scouted him for that final and he was pretty ass

Yeah thanks. May your entitled little bitches of a supporter group - who aren't smart enough to not believe every single thing they read in 'The West', including riveting anecdotes about Elliot Yeo's tooth brush and Oscar Allen's dog (oh sorry he's not there any more) - may they witness an even better season than the one just gone by remaining entirely winless. May your mob gripe and whinge about how unfair the AFL is, whilst playing in front of 99% home crowds in your brand new 60,000 seat stadium. Even the noise of affirmation wont be enough to save you from despair. May your mob all get injured. Seriously. May the 'over east' chip on your collective shoulders obscure your vision of what's fair to an even greater extent than it does now. Hard to believe it's possible, but I know you guys can do it. May your pathetic little grasping hands - that you've held out to the AFL at the very first sign of a 'difficult period' in your Hungry Jacks' franchise's short existence - may they wither and curl. May your scarves catch fire and your intense myopia render you all blind. Have a lovely season.

This doesn’t sound like a good childhood. Hope you’re ok.

I feel like setting up the "West Coast 2027 death ride" is premature. But I hope an excellent 2026 West Coast performance lulls the Eagles into a state of hubris for the following season and they drop back for our all-important 2027 third rounder. For what it's worth, and in case I forget to post in two and a half years, I am delighted that we picked up whoever the 2027 3rd-round pick is. I couldn't believe he slid so far, and he's ready-made for the top tier.
2027 third-rounder will be a straight swap for Naicos. Finishing 2nd in the Brownlow to Nas next year will send him off the rails. Token pick like JUH/Oliver

End of 2nd round pick for a start of 3rd round pick and Liam Ryan. Lol yeah I'll take that. This club is clearly ceasing on the momentum and perception of the club amongst the established AFL players. The interviews with JSOS and TDK was very complimentary of the club and our coaches, Flanders keen to get played in the right position, Liam Ryan moving to the other side of the country.

Keen for us to move on to Charlie Curnow now.
