Thought maybe with New Balance’s history with cricket kits there’d at least be a couple of interesting/different designs, Renegades one looks alright and Scorchers I suppose the most literal as it does look like it’s been caught in a fire… all others all look like boring cheap fan/stadium supporter jerseys - similar to some of Majestic’s old efforts though so maybe they think that’s retro now.

Black pants confirmed

Looks like BBL teams have KFC logo on pants with WBBL teams having WBBL logo on pants. I note there is no KFC logo on the sleeves for the BBL teams

I feel like the all black pants looks a little 'rep carnival' esque, where everyone has the same shirts just in different colours with white pants/black pants. Would've liked some teams to try coloured pants, like Stars, Strikers, Renegades and Heat especially

So anyway, if you couldn’t tell from my previous posts - earlier in the year I had the opportunity to work with NB to design the new Adelaide Strikers W/BBL kit. Big shout out to the team at Belgravia/New Balance as well for all of their work in bringing the range to life!

The key design element to call out here is the triangular pattern has featured heavily on the creative this season, and is a stylised interpretation of the inner roof structures of Adelaide Oval with all the beams overlapping, forming triangles in the negative spaces with the blur/motion representing the energy and excitement of Big Bash. Another key feature is the return to the true Strikers blue, which has been absent off a lot of the past kits.

Always worth acknowledging that without my extensive time on this forum that allowed me to grow as a graphic designer, the opportunities I’ve had likely would not have come, so appreciative to everyone that’s been a part of the journey.

Now I’m hoping to get to Rebel at some stage tomorrow before flying out to Perth for the week to tick off a bucket list item of mine - seeing something I designed hanging up on the racks of a retail store. 🄲
