I don't think Murray will let Cal down, just couldn't see that happening , but yes it seems they might have overstretched and now have to figure out a way of getting it done.I agree on the slide but if it's a shallow draft, all the more reason Adelaide want to be closer to the top of it - along with club club-media excitement around having a pick in the top-20.
Having said that, the onus is on Adelaide to come to the party on this one. They've gone after Ah Chee, made the big contract offer without currently having the draft capital to get the deal done (if they don't want to lose their first-round pick).
I'm sure something will be worked out, but unlike the GH5 period, our list management team won't be bent over this time. We have an asset that is worth more than they're offering. it's now up to Adelaide and Cal's manager to figure out how to get it done. No one wants to be seen doing a St Kilda!
