Can see a third team getting involved similar to our deal with Bris and Freo given that we’ve not got any picks within 37 that we aren’t wanting to use for a trade up, and Richmond if I’m not mistaken still only have 3 and 4. If we can move our latest 2nd into a high third points wise then I’m content. Maybe north can get involved lol they love throwing away a F1

Strangely enough for the AFL, its actually a very logical move. I don't like the arbitrary "round" range of picks, it seems silly not that those rounds never equate to an 18 pick range, maybe it should have just been the 1st 40 picks, but if your academy / F/S or NGA player isn't ranked in the 1st 40 picks, I don't see a reason why the romance of picking them isn't just as they are indicating a pick with your next available pick. They already have allowed pre-selection before the rookie draft, so why not after the 1st 40? It means you are forced to pay for the good ones, and the more risky ones get to keep the romance of that rule which is very specific to our sport.

Im not expecting anything better than a pick in the 50's and thats about his value
but knowing Matty C he will probably give Richmond an F2 which wouldnt surprise me

Chesser & Ryan were both best 22 players and going for chips
Eagles should not cough up more that a very late pick in the 50's at best or take him in the PSD

Young is a good palyer and something WC don't have, a quick, strong 196cm stopper who has added marking and some rebound to his game. Very good kick. Sure he hasn't played that many games, but last season he played very well.

Players like that are worth something better than steak knives.

The Chesser deal is done now for Pick 41 it might go straight to the Tigers now. I think this would be fair for both Tigers and Eagles and they seem to have a good respectful trading relationship.
