Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

Does Gryan average 23 disposals at Carlton? I think he'd regress in our system.

Seems to be one of those players who runs around on their own a lot while defenses put energy into other players.

Geelongs three 1st round picks + Myers still has me wanting more. But it's getting closer.

The issue by trading a future second now is clubs now know that we need Charlie gone in order to get Walker. Not the best or smartest strategy.
That’s just not true, you’re stating things in isolation without allowing for the full picture.
We would 100% have plans for bringing in Walker with or without Charlie, a F2 isn’t going to derail that

SYDNEY:
Gain - Curnow & #36
Lose - 25' Rd.1 (#10), 26' Rd.1, Will Hayward & James Rowbottom.

GOLD COAST
Gain - Sydney's Rd.1 (#10), Carlton's Rd.1 (#9) & James Rowbottom
Lose - Jed Walter, #15 & #36

CARLTON:
Gain: Jed Walter, Will Hayward, #15 & Sydney's 26' Rd.1
Lose: Charlie Curnow & #9

Who is unhappy?

Both Gold Cost and Sydney say no.

Only Carlton say yes.

(I know Jed wouldn't be knowing he's been left out of the Suns Finals side only for them to bring in an unhinged Jamarra as another key forward he's going to have compete with)
Throw in Trac and humphrey. Heck even get gws involved with clarry and at that point may aswell throw buku and butters in there somewhere.

If we got Hayward for Charlie, think forward line looks something like this:

HF: Williams O'Keefe Ainsworth
F: Evans McKay Hayward
IC: 1 to 2 of Motts / Moir / Kemp

Not amazing but all proper forwards at least and all can kick goals.

Ainsworth and Williams the 2 that can have bursts onball

I’ve always heard that Geelong system is basically everyone has their role and they are trained specifically for that role, a bit like doing a gym program day after day. How well would a Geelong trained player translate to Carlton?

Structure and delivery and it can work very well. Flexible
