Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

None will net 3rds and 3rds barely carry any points anymore anyway.

In this year's draft, they will imo...

Those 3rds will come down too after bids.

We don't need 1000+ points more, we just need enough to match the Dean bid.

Pick 22 gives us 686 points.

With the Stains trading away pick 7, the earliest likely bid will come from the dogs at pick 12. I don't buy into Ess bidding on him with 5 or 6... just not gonna happen. If it's the Tigers we deal with for pick 4, highly doubt they're bidding on Dean, we won't do that deal with them, there'll be principle agreement there and they won't want to muddy that.

So, if I'm right, 1140 - 10% = 1026 points required. -686 from 22 = 340.

340 points to come from couple 3rd rounders is doable, our 54 will come down to mid 40's too I reckon.

I actually reckon Swans are missing a few more pieces then just a FF and its yet to be seen whether Cox can coach.

Reckon they could surprise and not bounce by as much as expected. Reason I dont mind their F1.
No certainty Cox would play Charlie at FF, based on last season. He doesn't have great feel for the game IMHO.

As I posted the other day (got via Footy Manager) Swans are working on deal that will blow us away.

It’s getting close. I now expect it to happen
Could it be:

-Hayward.
-3 first rounders
- their second rounder this year.

Rowbottom didn’t play much in the centre for Sydney because he’s not quick. Not sure he’s a good fit for us. But you can bet dollars to peanuts that’s who they hand over.

If we come away with Cheeser Ainsworth Reidy Khamis and one of Rowbottom/Hayward/Campbell plus a First Rounder to add to TDK to turn into Top 4-5 pick plus F1 to help get Walker plus some picks for Dean Ison along with Salary Cap room for future and only lose Charlie & Durdin (and some later picks) that is a fantastic trade period and sets us up for next decade

We have achieved what we set out to do and really adds to our youth

I would be very happy
Also losing TDK and SOS but I get the sentiment and agree.

Trading our F2 makes me assume Charlie is out the door, no way Austin has traded a F2 without knowing something

Or alternatively, we are keeping Charlie and adding enough on the side that we expect to be mid table next year.

Pick 30 next year is a lot less valuable than pick 20, both generally and for us specifically with Walker.
