Robey
Grlj
Sharp
Cumming
Taylor
Id say

Robey
Cumming
Grlj
Sharp
Taylor

Happy with either Cumming or Grlj, but feel Grlj fills a better positional need for us than Cumming, especially if we've already picked Robey.

I would still be happy with
Sharp - Cumming - Kellaway trifecta

If we trade down to get an extra 2nd rounder then even better
Duursma - Nah he is a Duursma
CDT - Im worried about his leap at only 200cm

I won’t be disappointed with this either

This or the Eastern Rangers Exacta of Sully and Taylor I’m happy with

I am always happy to hear others' opinions, as well as all the good folks on BF and PRE.

Jordan from centre half bench, he says bombers from reports, rumours want Robey and could well offer us picks 5 and 6 for our pick 3 and picks going back.

Jordan says if i were Richmond, i would decline it as he thinks Robey will be a star.

I like Robey too and hope we draft him and for our 2nd pick, any of sharp, cumming and Grjl
If we do happen to split pick 3, this can only happen if Robey isnt on our radar, if he is, then no way, no deal.

If we keep 3 and decide to split Pick 4, it would have to seriously advantage us or again no deal.

What are everyone's thoughts on this if picks 5 and 6 were offered for our pick 3?

If we had to give something back, I'd say F3 only. If they want pick 3 so much, then pay up and don't expect a lot back, just like North did, giving us their F1.

I would do this in a heart beat.

Who?

Essendon are not offering 5&6 for 3 unless we chuck in an f1. 3 was 12 and 14 last year, 8 and 12 for 1 in cadmans year.

Stranger things have happened, just ask Death Ride North.

Chuck in a F1 lol. We are in the driver's seat if they want pick 3 then they pony up and pay, it's quite simple, Calcium
Whole point is that they won’t pay. No one has ever paid a price like that unless it involved future picks where they’ve drastically underperformed to their own expectations (hi North)

Plus we have a couple of likely types in next years draft that we’ll need points for. I don’t think we’d want to lose our future second and third picks

We are talking about clubs that make dumb decisions and ess could well do that if they are that desperate on draft night, just ask North

Even if this eventuated F3 would be all that they would get back.

That's not a dumb decision, it's plain irresponsible and there isn't a list manager alive that would make that deal unless we were to offer pick 3 & F1 for 5 & 6. If Rosa gave up 5 & 6 for 3 and a F2 & F3 he may as well update his resume at the same time because he wouldn't be their list manager much longer after that.

Excluding all the NGA and FS it'll be interesting to see how we rate the draft.

I'm assuming they've have begun ranking this draft and finalising their order to a degree. If we do trade 3 or 4 and slide back to accumulate later picks or 26 picks it probably indicates they think they can get what they want but stay within the strategy.

If they hold picks 3 and 4 they might rate the top 5 more than other teams and want to pick their guys.

I kind of like this draft and would be inclined to trade back whilst accumulating future picks. But I know some rate this top 5 as far better prospects compared to what you get at 10-15.

Not that I agree with it but there seems to be a big gap between our 3 & 4 let alone 5 & 6. Wouldn't give up F1 for 5 & 6 straight up.

Seems like sitting at pick 3 and letting whoever falls to us is the play. Duursma, CDT or Robey will be there.

If the Don's have a hard on for any of them you make them pay up on the night.
Yep, I'm 99.9% confident that no trading of our high picks will happen until draft night, and when we see what spills out of West Coast's first two picks (whether or not it's ultimately the Eagles who hold one or both).

I am 100% confident however that Hartley will have pre-established contingencies in place for any West Coast quinella combination.

Difference being Norf were hoping to get up the ladder and make it 27+23 for 8-12.

Bombers know they have 5&6 and it’s well and truly overpay for 3. You have to be so certain that pick 3 is going to be a super duper star to offer up that trade for unproven talent. It’s a pipe dream.

Robey >> Cumming > Taylor >> Sharp
The big question for me is, which of those is most likely to make the transition & thrive at AFL level?.... I'd be very wealthy if I could devise a test for that!!

No doubt there is a gap between the top 4 in the open pool and the next 6, but I don't believe it's that big.

And a nice pipe dream at that ;)

North were delusional if they thought they were going to rise upwards of the 8.

What would be harder to swallow:
  • Eagles (or a team trading up for one of the Eagles picks) takes Robey before we have a chance, OR
  • He’s on the board but we don’t take him with either 3 or 4, leaving him for the Bombers (poor kid!)

I know we’ve heard reference to “high ceiling” players out of the club, but a lot of other little pieces of info that indicate we like Robey, but not a pick 3/4 level of like.

I’m preparing myself mentally.

If Robey is on the table at pick 3 and we take two others at 3 and 4, this place is gunna get absolutely annihilated.

Especially if we take CDT too.

Mods i truly hope you are ready for the Chernobyl Elephants Foot Part 2 level of melts.
Fair to say the piss bags will burst

No need to worry friends, if there's one player in the top 10 I can near guarantee we don't take it's Robey.

Then we would be dumb, offering pick 3 and a F1 which is likely to be pick 1, 2 or 3 for 5&6

Bombers as most of us have stated, as a possible pick swap, their pick 5 and Draper end of first round pick for our pick 3 or 4. But, if we have Robey in our sights then **** EssenDUMB and keep our picks and draft Robey

Let's wait and see on draft night what deal the bombers want to do with the Eagles or us.

Yeah but you’re dumb enough to trade pick 2 out for a club that will pick Robey
