I used to watch Bathurst maybe late 90s early 2000s. Surprised it and the Supercars series is still popular now that the Holden/Ford tribalism is gone. Mustangs aren't that popular and the Camaro isn't for sale any more because no one bought it. Completely different dynamic to when Commodores and Falcons were still selling. The race cars stopped having anything in common with the road going versions a few decades ago but you could still do burnouts in the carpark and pretend having a V6 Commodore made you Mark Skaife. Bit harder to do that when everyone drives Ford Rangers and those ridiculous Rams.

I went to the AFLW game at Marrickville yesterday, Swans v Carlton.

Got to the ground and there's no shade anywhere, temperature is over 30 and I'm resigned to a shit arvo broiling in the sun.

About quarter time, a cool change came over, clouds rolled in, temp dropped by about 10 degrees. Bliss.
