How’s the timing with women’s team playing each other this week?!?Well apparently they were seen boarding a plane to Sydney. Could have been going for a weekend swim at Bondi. Who knows what's going on.

blah blah blah
Ryan Okeefe - denied trade to Hawthorn then Carlton
Gary Buckenara - denied trade to West coast
Tom Papley - denied trade to Carlton
Harrison Petty - denied trade to Adelaide
Was thinking the same thing, the Cats don't seem to be an option and already cast their best offer, so seems it's Swans or bust. Not sure why Cats supporters are still here, let the Swans have Curnow

Not many players in town at the moment. Most are overseas on holidays (again), or interstate.Well apparently they were seen boarding a plane to Sydney. Could have been going for a weekend swim at Bondi. Who knows what's going on.
Papley says hi but in any case curnow will be traded to the swans this weekCurnow is gone, whether is this year or the next or to Geelong, Sydney or some other club you're merely delaying the inevitable. This is now a salvaging process that Carlton is reluctant to accept but will eventually have to, just like Geelong did with Kelly, GAJ and the Dees with Trac and Clarry. Them's the break I'm afraid, trust me you don't want to keep a player that doesn't want to be there, it'll all end in tears.

As it’s always been only other one that suited Carlton was GC if they put Humphries up. Junk 20 plus “first” rounders were never going to be enough
Geelong offered compromised junk. You shouldn't even be bidding for him if you won't offer Neale ,Miers or Holmes.Ah not this shit again. At least get the definition right.

Your first rounders are nowhere near high enough and more likely worse next year under what planet would Carlton do it. Great you plucked Holmes with one…we took Dean Towers and Matt Ling with those types of firsts.
GC had the assets before a Trac deal they don’t now. Sydney at least have pick 9 (11) which is a good starting point
Mate im not getting into a debate with you about the curnow deal itself. But a first round pick is still a first round pick at 25 if that first round has 27 picks in it. By all means say you dont rate that pool and wouldn't take the picks but stop fudging it trying to say picks aren't 1st rounders when they are. The number of people who cant get basic facts right like that on this board does my head in. D & T used to be a great place to hear really knowledgeable people discuss draft cohorts and really interesting views on list strategies and game trends. Lately its just a bunch of supporters fighting with each other plus people having no basic understanding of how things work. It's a shame.

All of those players would rather retire than be traded to Carlton thoughGeelong offered compromised junk. You shouldn't even be bidding for him if you won't offer Neale ,Miers or Holmes.
Well stop bidding, it's embarrassing . Andrew Mackie has embarrassed himself. All of those players would rather retire than be traded to Carlton though

I thought it was 2 first rounders?Melbourne not trading Petty has to be the worst list management decision of all time and it’s not close how a club didn’t accept a first rounder for that spud
A 1st round pick means a pick between pick 1 and pick 18 before other compensation pick/ academy picks.
You need to call them extremely late compromised 1st round picks, not 1st round picks.
It's not as though you're offering pick 2, pick 5 and pick 7.
I thought it was 2 first rounders?
Petty and Oliver for two first rounders each, they'd have massively jump started a rebuild AND got rid of two guys who monumentally under-achieved in 2025.It was and yikes think there was something coming back the other way but either way horrible moment for Mel not taking that deal
I'm not sure what it is he had to be embarrassed about but I will defer to your superior knowledge and experience on the topicWell stop bidding, it's embarrassing . Andrew Mackie has embarrassed himself.
