Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

I think that the "hold Charlie" brigade have got the rose colored glasses on and only remember him as the dynamic matchwinner who continually showed his love of the jumper when he did something special,

Sadly this guy was replaced by a bloke who was promoted to the leadership group and repaid that faith by sooking it up and half ar$ing things before requesting a trade despite continually pledging his loyalty.

Voss' comments at the presentation night to me spoke directly to the likes of Charlie and JSOS. Bloke doesn't want to play for us. Take the best deal and send him to the airport.

Yep the nuffs in here expecting 1,2 & gulden for a 29 year old with injury concerns & a bad attitude are starting to wear pretty thin.

Fairly large haul if that is what is coming. Largely undervaluing Hayward & pre 25 Florent.

Points for dean, points for walker, a B grader and a badly out of form overpaid b/c grader for a superstar. Unless there is something else in play this would be an unmitigated disaster for the club, losing Charlie tdk and sos collectively for Hayward and some points for matching bids and maybe one other kid in a dud draft is an impossible sell for a fan base impatient at the best of times

TDK and SOS are gone. Its only now a question of Curnow. And we win more without him. We won two finals with him being a liability. His currency will never be higher than now, and we are years off a premiership. Cash in I say, and if this is as good as we get, so be it.

Like I said, he finished 6th because everyone else was shit... not because he shone. This year was a nothing year, Cerra finishing 3rd says it all really...

Overall, he hasn't been a top 6 player for us...

Cripps, Walsh, Weitering, Hewett, Curnow, Harry, Newman, Cerra, Acres, Haynes all overall have been better than him.

I was more thinking team structure and recruiting strategies.

There are going to be players shuffled around due to both of these guys coming in and pretty much guaranteed starting 18 positions.

If Ainsworth was our target all along, we would have planned for that. Does bringing in Hayward change our recruiting strategies? What players are now superfluous to us? Should we try to trade them this year? Is there a young guy that wasn't previously on our radar now on our radar because we dont' need to draft a "Hayward type".

It might also change our targeting of Free Agents and recruits next season.
