Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Hayward, 11, future first and a future second for Charlie
And then we give them 22 for Florent and 63 in a separate deal?

Then we trade Sydney’s future 2nd for Buku and 33 or 37.

Just been replaced by younger players in a season you finished lower than us....

Sounds like a gun. We will give you pick 11 and 22 for him (TDK + JSOS effectively).

Look at it the same way as the Matt Kennedy situation. Has been a decent player in the past, falls out of favour with the new coach for whatever reason and there is a surplus of players in his position.

Under Longmire he was a first choice player, Cox doesn't see him the same way. Same as how Voss just didn't rate Kennedy. Kennedy has now shown at the Bulldogs he is still a good player.

Contract may not be great, but Florent as a player has a lot of good footy left in him and would easy be a best 23 player for us. Who knows the details of the deal - Sydney may even pay a part of his salary.

How does Merrett compare to CC as a need and value add to those teams?

HFF - Anyone who kicked more than 2 goals last season..... Ainsworth is better than Florent as a HFF, what pick did we trade for him?. Also rather have Moir, Evans, Williams and Motlop in the team.

No, not similar deals. Because Will Hayward is a top player.

Apart from Walsh, who plays more midfield than wing, Florent is a better wing than any of those others.

22 for Florent and 63 is way too much. Florent is worth a late 2nd/early 3rd.

Was 7th in their B&F last year, fell out of favour with Cox this season it seems.

George Hewett didn't feature in the Swans B&F top 10 in the year prior to us picking him up as a DFA from memory.

One poor season doesn't define a player (unless that player is Charlie Curnow).
