doesn't fit their narrative, sadly. You mean like Sydney has literally just done with Hayward?
Sorry he’s going to collingwood with pick 9 for degoeyA few posters on the Essendon board are asking what McKenzies nickname is?
On the night it makes no difference but as trade value it does.Dewwy is saying that there are a certain number of players who are essentially unavailable and so where those bids come is irrelevant. If West Coast used their first pick to bid on all of the F/S and academy players, and those bids were matched, then pick 1 would eventually become pick 14, with which they could still select Willem Duursma.
It doesn't make a difference what the pick becomes on draft night. Pick 1 is the first available player. Pick 9 is the ninth available player.
Sorry, I should have specified that I meant at Essendon. It's one thing to miss out on a player, but I imagine it would be quite toxic for Merrett next year. Not for us. It’s going to be a great watch

No need to know.A few posters on the Essendon board are asking what McKenzies nickname is?
Maybe don't wait for the second last day of the trade period before putting your first official offer in.Perhaps it was to make it understood that this time our club would really appreciate a reply to one of our texts/calls/emails about Zach.
Hang on a minute I though Essendons we up in arms about the Hawks offering a player up who was playing VFL footy.my optics is we are pushing hard for McKenzie to be part of this deal.
I was OK with the deal before, but i'm starting to chubb up now.

Was it that good watching O'Keefe win the norm smith? Not for us. It’s going to be a great watch
No need to know.
Even as an Essendon supporter you would understand the reaction a player would have if they were asked.
How would you like to play for Essendon and as an added bonus you get to play under B.Scott.
Honestly I’ve seen about 8 flags in my lifetime, so wouldn’t bother me that much. Was it that good watching O'Keefe win the norm smith?
But maybe Allen winning a flag next season will top that.
Essendon are aware that if Mckenzie does agree to go, they will have to add in something in on top of Merrett yeah?
He was a pick 7, 3 years ago.
Why? If you want a player have a crack. If you don’t get them move on.Maybe Hawthorn should have thought about that before approaching Zerrett though???
Using Essendon logic Frenchie would be worth 2 first rounders + Zach + anyone else who is even remotely any good at Essendon (I can’t think of any off the top of my head)Essendon are aware that if Mckenzie does agree to go, they will have to add in something in on top of Merrett yeah?
He was a pick 7, 3 years ago.
And Tsatas was Pick 5 three years ago. Means **** all to their trade value.
You'd be adding McKenzie because we need more value/worth. He is more value/worth. Why on earth would it then be "Oh, but you'd need to add more back?" You're getting Merrett. He is the cake and the icing all mixed into one.
Will Day will be like a new signing.
Sorry he’s going to collingwood with pick 9 for degoey
Nailed it.yeah but Mckenzie isnt crap like Tsatas is.
Essendon last night rejected the highest value deal for a 30 year old in the history of trading.
They need to give their head a wobble and realise where they are at with this.
Explain how accepting this trade helps Essendon? Bear in mind they have around 4 list spots and currently hold 2x top 10 picks and are bringing in 2 NGA, so the first this year is probably useless to them, so it's effectively trading Merrett for Hustwaite and a late first rounder next year.yeah but Mckenzie isnt crap like Tsatas is.
