Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
You seem to conveniently miss where I state top dozen in the open draft. And the pick Hawthorn are offering will fall around pick 13 once academy and FS are done.
We could just pivot to Curnow instead I guess as our offer is better than the Swans. There is a slight difference...Zane Duursma somehow can't crack a North side that's been bottom 2-4. Merrett is a 6 time B an F.
It's not hard, offer something closer to fair for Merrett, the future pick is half the issue they don't want Hawthorns's one, they are improving with Merrett. The offer is embarassing, Essendon don't need more list cloggers like Hustwaithe if he was that good he'd have played every game Will Day was out including both finals.

Its the 9th best player they have access to. The academy and father son players aren't available to Essendon. Its the most ridiculous argument of all time.
if that offer isn't appealing to Essendon, they its likely not going to progress, and they set themsleves up for 12 months of turmoil.
I'm talking to a brick wall here. Enjoy the rest of your trade period.

Open draft or not, there's an order to who's the best. Clubs will rank all players, whether they're academy/FS-tied or not, otherwise there'd never be bids. You seem to conveniently miss where I state top dozen in the open draft.
Its absolutely not embarrassing.
Its the most ever offered for a 30 year old.
And if this is how you are judging players worth, whats Jy Simpkin worth? Hes won 2 and is a captain?
Sure and I believe after the top 12 in the open draft it drops off.Open draft or not, there's an order to who's the best. Clubs will rank all players, whether they're academy/FS-tied or not, otherwise there'd never be bids.
Didn't North put a price tag of 2 first rounders on Simpkin? And if this is how you are judging players worth, whats Jy Simpkin worth? Hes won 2 and is a captain?
Fair enough.Sure and I believe after the top 12 in the open draft it drops off.
Pick 9 will ensure there is access to a decent player at that pick.

You have lost Worpal, likely to lose Serong and CJ and haven't added any thus far.How do we lose depth if we keep Pick 9, F1, F2 and Hustwaite?
Fair enough don’t blame them.
Pick 9 + future 1st + 2nd round + McKenzie would be ridiculous overs.
A more apt analogy is a former millionaire who with a Lambo worth $150 k is offered $200 k by his former rival whose gone on to make much more money. If I'm a millionaire and I'm selling a Lambo for $150k, I'm not going to accept $50k because that's the 'best offer' a potential buyer can make, am I?
At least a first rounder, have always said that. North should get a top 18 pick for him.
You have lost Worpal, likely to lose Serong and CJ and haven't added any thus far.
Well he's considered a far better player than Ned Long who did quite well at Collingwood when he had a chance at a fresh start. It is not going to be done unless the future first is SIGNIFICANTLY better and it has to be from a club likely to miss the 8, that's up to the Hawks to find that club not Essendon. If you don't want to trade players okay fine, fine a future from a club in the bottom 8 that you can get for next year, then Essendon MIGHT talk...
Until that time why would Essendon bother. All this talk of there was a reason Hustwaithe wasn't playing yet he didn't play every game Day was out. So which one is it? Is he actually good OR is he as many think a slow VFL plodder who is at best depth? It doesn't look such a good deal if the player you give is basically depth.
Didn't North put a price tag of 2 first rounders on Simpkin?
its Ok mate, its only a game.Or we could all just mention the Hawks offered up the biggest trade bounty in the history of trades for a 30yo.
We add Will Day - next. You have lost Worpal, likely to lose Serong and CJ and haven't added any thus far.
Our offer is just as good as the Swans offer for Curnow...a 2 time coleman medalist.
What are the Swans doing
Florent is rubbish AND asking for pick 22 back
Well, no that's not an apt analogy at all, because Essendon have a Lambo(Merrett) and hawthorn are trying to offer up a 180b Datsun(Hustwaite) with a custom spoiler(f1st) and Alpine stereo with subwoofer(pick 9).A more apt analogy is a former millionaire who with a Lambo worth $150 k is offered $200 k by his former rival whose gone on to make much more money.
While the former millionaire is near broke and that $200 k would be a much needed cash injection. Instead spite gets the better of him.
Also the lambo is desperately trying to escape as well. Leave the garage door open and it’s driving out of there.
