Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

People are happy when things happen that suit their narrative.
Same people happy now may not have been if things had gone a different way.

I like to know both sides of a story.
Not gonna fall in with the 'good riddance to player x because of x, y, z schtick that flooded threads for a bit.
Very helpful for the club, I'm sure to try and manage supporter mood.
It's healthy to be sad and disappointed when players you've watched and cared about want to leave.
And it's worth carefully attending to underlying reasons. If the club needs to adjust and reflect on itself and improve -
...that's also healthy.
Imperative really.

I learnt from Dylan Shiel fiasco a million years ago not to ever get my hopes up again (yes, I know, we dodged a bullet, but still, at the time it was the big deal that was gonna make or break the club).

So, I refuse to accept that Bailey Humphrey is coming to Carlton. I don’t want to sob at my desk when the reality hits and he’s staying at GCS or moving to the Dees.

Yep - don't believe anything until it's up on the Carlton website. That's my view, anything else just leads to suffering, which leads to hate, which leads to the dark side...

An old custom among some was to use a person's middle name, so surely his middle name is Harry...
