They panicked about their forward line, thats where they will play him given King is a walking injury and they have bugger all after that. Piss poor from their list management team to bring in TDK who gives them nothing they didnt already have instead of trying to fix their glaring issue up forward. Marshall is a ruck, but he will be a square peg in a round hole next year.

This is a poor draft id rather trade 19 info the future if we can. I think next year will be too late for marshall age wise i think we will get someone else instead.
I doubt Rowan is happy though he basically cant play ruck anymore and is stuck there for the rest of his career.

I read that it's not necessarily a 'poor draft' but rather it evens out after the top 10. You get as good a player at 31 as 11, i guess is the implication.

Regardless, do I really worry about what's available with the picks we have given the history of Wells and Mackie? Not at all. I'm not saying there will be A+ grade players we can draft with those picks that Carlton and Stains have rejected... but good to very, very good players? If anyone can... Wells and Mackie can. #shrug

He isn’t a back up he will rotate forward and ruck as well, but the saints could be top top heavy playing both TDK and Marshall.

It’s funny that in a trade period where clubs seen the negative returns clubs holding onto players who want to leave(Oliver going from a trade worth of two firsts to being a 3rd rounder) teams still take this line
