Was looking at Farrar vs Buku. Farrar is a better defensive player than Buku and is also better in the contest. However Buku's accuracy and intercept game are better.

I'm hoping to keep JJ for one more year. Extend Baker on a one year deal.

De-list Coffield and Poulter.

Sign Frost as a DFA (can we sign him as a rookie, or have to wait till rookie draft?). Supposed to be a really great clubman too and provides valuable KPP depth at still a solid level.

I think / hope that works by the numbers.

Sydney just paid 3 x first rounders and 2 x players for Curnow. (I count Florent as part of the deal because he was sent to Carltank to make toom for Curnow)

He's good, but bloody hell

Borlase & Miller at a stretch, otherwise that’s an underwhelming list of UFA’s.

Most of them would be quite past it in a year, or won’t actually leave anyway.

I’d take Green for the lol’s though

So the final wash up from the trade period is that we've;

Added a youngish best 22 player in a position of need,
Lost no-one other than a player we wanted to delist anyway,
Basically held steady from a draft perspective (2 position drop on first pick, add a very low pick),
Further improved our very healthy cap position.

Not the major strides forward we hoped for, but that's a net positive.

Certainly not the armageddon some are painting.

And because he’s a stooge, we got a pick in the 70s for a contracted former pick 1….love it

And we also got stitched in previous years for our uncontracted good players

Lol Saints

Fremantle supporter:

Losers: Bulldogs for not getting a KPD. They kept Khamis even though he couldn't get in the team at the end of this season.

I guess they're expecting Will Darcy to carry their backline

Saints supporter:

"Wilkie is still a chance apparently"

Rent free 🤪
Isn’t this essentially what you were saying minus Khamis yesterday?

We lost a cancer who hadn’t played in over a year and gained a valuable B22 player whilst keeping our cap and draft hand for the future safe

Would’ve been nice to net a Wilkie but overall was a decent trade period for us and thankfully there are more ways to add to the list SSP DFA and Draft

I would be sighing up Blight now as a DFA as he will be a hot commodity

That Tom Campbell could be good ruck support

If we can add Ben Miller as well as an UFA we will be laughing our way to a dynasty with the list we already have patience is key
I thought the same after 2016.

In order to be the best, you have to beat the best.
When we have a game plan and the players to execute, to engineer wins against the top 4 in big games, then I'll be a believer like yourself.
