Can we please never see Jade Gresham ever again?

By end of season.

Redman Reid Johnson
Duursma Durham Clarke

El-Ackher May Langford

Bryan Martin McGrath

Int: Hayes Vigo, Sharpe, Caldwell, Parish

Pretty dire.

Edit *Ridley replaces Johnson if he ends up staying and being given a leadership role+ 2 or 3 draft picks/trades will fit in there somewhere also

B - Redman McKay Ridley

I am guessing we draft Dyson Sharp, Sam Cumming, Harley Barker, With our first three picks- hoping for band 1 for Draper

Blaki McKay Nguyen
Ridley Reid Roberts
Redman Merrett* Duursma
Durham Caddy Perkins
Langford May Kako

Bryan Caldwell McGrath

Bench: Parish Tsatas Clarke 2MP
SUB: Hobbs*/Setters*

Emergency: Gresham Johnson Prior McMahon

Depends what happens with Merrett but looks like he's staying now - we will likely keep one of Setters and/or Hobbs also I reckon given our lack of midfield depth. Redman to the wing in a more attacking role for him - Blaki & 2MP support Bryan

Mcgrath mckay ridley
Roberts Reid Redman
Martin Caldwell duursma
Kako Caddy Perkins?
Guelfi? Wright? langford

Byran?, durham, merret/parish

Parish/Hobbs, clarke, Jones, draft pick

? - are they goid enough for spot in a finals winning team in 2 years. No.

/ - if merret leaves parish plays onball etc

We really lack a grade talent

A grade talent has been our issue for a long time. I feel like we have had players looking like they might get to that next level but they stagnate or go backwards thru form or injury. The potentials over the last few years have been Redman, Ridley, Langford and Martin (All been in the AA squad at one point) and Parish AA year he was great. Maybe Caldwell and Durham could get there? Reid definitely potentially an A grader in that short form he showed early in the year before bloody injuries. I also like Dursma but at best maybe a B+?

Currently thinking McGrath might be better as part of our SF setup. (New rules should allow 3)

Looking back to his rookie year highlights he used to get goals and having him in that lockdown small role against dangerous HBs would be interesting to see. Especially now we have a few small defenders in the mix

Anyway going to be a crazy trade week with Merrett likely gone. Chance for a full reset.

Should actually be A++

One of the best defenser/fwd/mid in the game or multiple all Australian

Id say reid/caddy have the potential. Maybe Martin but probably just under and merret already achieved that but on other side unless a zorko move in his later years.

Brisbane and geelong have a lot who are or were arguably best in there position.

Anyone want to have a crack at it 🤣

FB Roberts McKay Prior
HB Redman Reid Ridley
C Duursma Parish McGrath
HF Langford Caddy Lual
FF Kako Wright Gresham
OB Bryan Durham Caldwell

Int: Visentini Perkins Clarke Guelfi Nguyen

*Martin comes in on return from injury
I reckon Merrett is still in the best 22

With trade period done I think we at least have a reasonable idea of what the list will look like. I need to refresh myself on how the injury front looks for round 1 though... Assuming no Martin, I don't remember how bad any of the other timelines were. Is Bryan still going to be out? Hayes?

Honestly this is wayyyy harder than I thought, trying to juggle the incumbents and the guys who came on in leaps and bounds this year.

B Ridley - McKay - Prior (Hayes)
HB McGrath - Reid - Redman
C Duursma - Caldwell - Roberts
HF Kako - Caddy - Langford
F Perkins - Wright - Guelfi
R Blakiston (Bryan) - Merrett - Durham
Int. Parish - Fiorini - Clarke - Nguyen - Tsatas
Emg. Johnson - Visentini - Setterfield - Gresham

Would like to see Johnson take Prior's spot. Setterfield is probably ahead of Tsatas but I'll give pick 5 one last shot.

Edit - CBF'd doing musical chairs changing all the spots now but I'd much rather see McGrath in the middle than down back.
