But I think Cripps made it pretty clear that he didn't really fit their long term plans. And while his availability may have changed, the issue of contract length and price that has been negotiated with the crows is also something that can't be waved away.

Your interpretation of what Cripps said might be different to mine and maybe Cripps is the best poker player in the business but I don't think he's a priority for Carr's view about the future shape of the team.

What contract did we offer fiorini at the same age? Cant be that much different in numbers and years otherwise we would never have been a realistic shot at getting him as a free agent. That space is just sitting there… and ah chee can play the same role as an outside mid/wing (see his gf performance) as well as offering a level of versatility fiorini didn’t.

The managers earn more from the third party/commercial agreements they negotiate. The salary percentage is regulated.

If you are on that line, set up a Geelong style Cotton On agreement.

I reckon Ah Chee is better than half decent. Good footballer. 4 goals and close to BOG in 2024 GF. Would be in our top 10 players.

He’s played 26 games in each of the last two years. Rolling out every week was good for a top 4 BnF finish for us this year.

Absolutely, the next 6 weeks will be rough for the Crows and their supporters because they know there is a chance their main target might not go to them, despite what they and Ben Williams have said. Even if Cal does land at the Crows, it hampers any major targets of theirs, and considering it's a weaker draft, I don't understand the point in haggling over picks when they don't have a draft hand to get someone like a Dyson Sharp.

Ben Williams is Ah Chee's manager. We have good links with him so Cripps and co will quickly suss out if he we come after Ah Chee in the PSD, how keen or unkeen he is. I hope we have kept up a good relationship with his brother Brendon.

The family moved to SA to be with Brendon a couple of years or so after we drafted him. Think it was after Callum was picked up by the Suns, so they could be closer to both of them rather than living in Perth.

Not sure if they stayed on, as supposedly Callum wants to move to SA for family reasons. Maybe we can use Brendon as a faciliator.

Brendon last played for WCE in 2021 and South Freo in 2023. Maybe RossFC can use his knowledge of our ex players to see if he is still playing footy somewhere and if its for a community club in SA.

Brendon Ah Chee was at North Freo in the Perth Footy League this season.

He has a different manager to Callum though. Anthony Van Der Wielen, who also manages SPP and Tim Kelly.
