Sydney was bringing in Curnow so probably couldn't pay him much and he saw there wasn't a spot for him in the Swans forward line
Also a chance the club had been watching him for a while anyway and worked on him leading into his contract running out. Think I saw Leppitsch say they'd been watching him already. Might have managed to lock in his interest early

He looks good wearing Wazza Capper's number, wouldn't mind if his hair went a similar way.

Most notable thing from his 2025 highlights is his quick read of the ball off the boot.

I like him.

Fix the hair. Welcome.

Seeing Darcy Cameron in a Sydney jumper is like seeing Jack Crisp in a Brisbane jumper. They are so much associated with Collingwood now that I often forget they came from other clubs and aren’t one club players.

Other two that had been with us a long time that started elsewhere.

Like Darcy Cameron, Jack Buller’s a West Aussie.

Correct me if wrong but Jack’s a Claremont boy like Darce.

Fun fact!: Jack Buller is the grandson of Ray Jones, who played for Collingwood in the 1940s:-

Ray also played one game for Melbourne (1949), was a Premiership player for South Fremantle (WAFL) in 1953, and had a very successful career as an architect.

How you found that out?
That news was just passed on to me by our club historian (Michael Roberts). I assist Michael with research on various things, as well as doing a bit of work on the Collingwood Forever website. But I didn't find that one out myself, and was totally unaware of the connection! It's obviously not a well-known story, and Buller’s name isn’t included in the family ties section of the 2025 AFL Record Season Guide, so it seems quite likely the AFL don't know about it either!
