I love these highlights of Harry Kyle. You can really see the rugby background with the way he likes to run with the ball in hand and 'throw the dummy'; also with his tackling. I'm impressed.

He is more jacked than any of our fly weights and just glides across the ground. Only recently took on AFL seriously, he has at least as much up side as King. We would be negligent not to take him (which means we most probably won't and instead find some obscure pick).

I'm really hoping we find a way to take all 5 of these kids. They each individually offer something different and coming through together (mostly) they share experiences. Mal can sprinkle them through the ressies and we've already seen they have something to offer at that level. Every team needs its solid citizens.

After he's drafted, sure. Until then you need to keep very quiet.

He has a good frame as well. As he develops physically he may become pretty intimidating.

Seems to have so much composure and awareness. Love the passage of play around the 2:03 mark in the video

You will notice that the highlights package for LC is about 7 minutes long and the one for HK is only about 2 1/2 minutes. That's because LC gets many more possession. Harry has only played about 36 actual games of AFL football in his life and as a result he has not yet learned the positioning to get bigger numbers. I agree he looks good but hopefully he doesn't go too high because he will take some time as a result.

I hope we can get all 5.

Carmichael was player of the carnival for the Allies yet forecast for around 30.

Willem Duursma doesn't look anything special yet is predicted to go 1. I get the feeling the Vic media love the Duursma name yet none so far have been that great, either at AFL or AFLW level. Yasmine absolutely stank it up on Sunday.

I can understand why they rate Carmichael down. Not very tall, not a huge kick, doesn't take screamers, might be near his ceiling, no outstanding attributes. Just good at footy. Who is he like? Lachie Whitfield, Jordon Clark, Dane Zorko, Isaac Quaynor and a few others. But pick 30+ suits us just fine. Pick 32? Errol Whatsisname.

Although it would be kind of surprising if they just happened to be the best players available every time we select (or match) and that they exactly fit our list needs. Still, i'm all in favour of (a) capitalising on the advantage of having priority access to our Academy talent; and (b) increasing the proportion of local talent on our list.

I think athleticism and raw power trumps possession gathering. Tbh LC's highlights imo or underwhelming, just a bunch of stock standard outside ball gathering work. I'm a little bit over that profile, we've had so much of it with your Lloyd's and ollies, and it only gets you so far.

Apart from his ability as an interceptor distributor, he appears to me to have exceptional ability in close. Very quick thinker with fast reactions.

If he has a decent 2km time trial I think he could be OK.

That is my view - higher floor, lower ceiling than Chamberlain IMO

One thing that stands out about our academy crop is that they all look very well developed. All have clearly spent time in the gym and looked after themselves. Likewise our AFLW girls. So what the f**k has happened to our AFL men's team? Does each program have different S&C coaches? If so, fire the men's coach and get either the academy or AFLW one in. Or if it's the same guy, can he put the men on better regimes?

You can really see the Rugby development in Kyle. Ex Rugby players can become premiership players and at least in my eyes even potential Norm Smith medallists. (LRT you legend !)

KC said something about getting guys that may have hit their ceiling or peaked too early. Not Kyle, he’s only getting started and looks robust as !
