Oh yeah? You think the bail was justified?
This thread is about Sudanese gangs

The attacker in this case, from my reading anyway. was a Caucasian female, living rough, with mental health issues who was on bail.

She attacked an Asian Woman, whose skin colour was closer to White than the average person whose racial origins are from the Sudan

So you believe that people with mental health issues shoudn't be released on bail? How long do you lock them up for?

Given your interest in bail for people only charged with a crime. you obviously have answers.

Have you costed these answers, checked whether they are in accordance with Victorian Law, Commonwealth Law. the Constitution or the even the basis of our legal system; Common Law.

I would believe that you have a fully reasoned treatise on changes to the Bail Laws that you have taken to your local member, or if you live in a non Labor seat, to the shadow Attorney General.

Possibly even both?

I await a precis to be presented so we can have a considered discussion about this isssue

In the interiem, I will continue to consider you to be a third rate troll who uses right wing racist and sexist comments to attempt get a rise out of people and which we can safely continue to ignore

The race, gender, or background of offenders shouldn’t distract from a key issue, people who are charged with serious or violent offences regardless of who they are being released on bail and constantly reoffending at the expense of the INNOCENT PUBLIC. The public has a right to ask whether the current thresholds for denying bail are working as intended because any reasonable human would say they aren’t.

This isn't about locking up people with mental health issues indiscriminately, nor about ignoring the principles of presumption of innocence. It’s about addressing a very real and growing concern….people who pose a demonstrated risk to the community are being released, only to reoffend over and over while on bail. That undermines public trust in the justice system and why wouldn’t it?

Tighter bail laws don’t mean abolishing bail. It means setting firmer thresholds for high-risk individuals including repeat violent offenders or those already on bail for other offences to prove why they should be released, rather than automatically getting bail unless the prosecution can prove extreme risk.

The Victorian government has already acknowledged issues with our bail laws. Any law can be changed and even in extreme cases the constitution.

Ultimately, public safety must be the primary concern. If someone reoffends while on bail it means your system is broken. Because ultimately it’s there to not release highly dangerous criminals to do more damage.

What was she on bail for?

It’s yet to be released. She is applying for bail again for this incident, she’ll probably get it
so you're complaining about the bail she was already on based on what she did after right?

Right so if you got picked up for vagrancy or public drunkenness or unpaid parking tickets you'd be happy to be held without bail?
Well of course she may have had a minor infringement and without knowing it’s not smart to jump to conclusions so you are correct but judging by previous Melbourne bail story’s we think the worst.

Everything before the but is meaningless

Maybe you should think about what you're pushing for

I went out for dinner last night, then to a bar and didn't get attacked by a single Sudanese gang. Not even once 😲
I'm going into the city today. If the Liberal party and Sky After Dark are to be believed, and why would they lie about this, I'm bound to be bashed and stabbed before I get off the tram.
Rubbish. You were bashed by African gangs the minute you popped your head out like everyone else. I myself have been killed 6 or 7 times by African gangs and have had my organs harvested by the Chinese Communist Party and subsequently have been left as a brain in a jar communicating with the outside world through Elon's powerful brainwave-to-text AI.

Do not believe the multiculturalist social marxism lefty nonsense about us all being people. Their skin is different than yours and is dark. They simply don't belong, do they?

Don't worry mate. I'm scared shitless of people with dark skin or slanty eyes. I agree that they should be treated as less than human. I feel very superior that people of my white race don't commit crimes. Ausie Ausie Ausie......

The best part of this entire thread, is that it's undoing the messaging of the Liberal party.

The reason the 'blacks are scary' messaging has worked so well for decades in QLD, NT etc is because of the racist voting bloc.

It's only had traction now in Vic, because they stopped talking about 'race', and actually talked about indiscriminate crime.
We all know they're talking about 'blacks and browns'. But the general public doesn't.
The racist bloc, like 10571z knows they're talking about 'blacks and browns'.
But the majority are just responding to bs disinformation around crime statistics.

Suddenly, the same racist bs talking points that have failed in Victoria for 20 years, are finding targets, because the messaging has worked out how to disguise itself.

I mean it’s an inarguable fact Sudanese youth are committing crimes at a higher rate than just about every other group in Victoria.

I’m not sure where I’ve mentioned they should be treated less human.

Wanting appropriate and effective action on Sudanese youth crime is now racist..

No wonder the left is being pushed out worldwide.
