Quick Links

List Changes - 2025
In:
  • Brandon Starcevich arrives at West Coast in a three team deal
  • Tylar Young (Richmond) arrived at West Coast in exchange for Pick 38.
  • Deven Robertson (Brisbane) has agreed to join West Coast and will be signed on to the rookie list after being delisted by Brisbane
Out:
  • Oscar Allen joins Brisbane as a FA - West Coast receive Pick 2 as compensation
  • Liam Ryan and a 2027 R3 pick has been traded to St Kilda for a 2026 R2 pick
  • Campbell Chesser has been traded to Carlton for Pick 41
  • Jayden Hunt announces retirement
  • Jack Petruccelle, Callum Jamieson and Loch Rawlinson not offered new contracts
  • Coen Livingstone joins the list of players not offered a new contract

Players Out of Contract - 2025 (0)
  • Jamie Cripps and Malakai Champion seem to have been offered new contracts despite there being no official announcement. Means that all players out of contract for 2025 have been given new contracts despite or removed from the playing list

2025 Draft Order

Current Draft Picks:
Round 1: 1, 2, 13
Round 2: 34, 41
Round 3: 53, 58 (These picks are in excess of available list spots so will be forfeited if we don’t consolidate our 2025 picks up the order or trade some for future picks)

List Spots Available (39 of 48):
• Main list (33 of 38) - 5* (in: Starcevich, Young out: Allen, Ryan, Chesser, Hunt, Petruccelle, Jamieson)
• Cat A rookie list (5 of 8) - 3* (in: Robertson (pending), out: Rawlinson)
• Cat B rookie list (1 of 2) - 2 (out: Livingstone)

* Based on Dewar being upgraded after the maximum 3 years on the rookie list. Hutchinson may also have been upgraded but this isn’t confirmed - if it is we will have 4 main and 4 rookie list spots open

* Matthew Clarke has stated we have 5 main list spots

Matt Clarke wraps up the trade period - 6PR

Can some one explain why Dev can “walk” to us as a delisted free agent through the pre season supplementary period but Ah chee cant do the same to Adelaide ? Seems odd.
Ah Chee was offered a contract by his club so he’s not considered a delisted free agent so has to nominate for the draft.

Dev was not offered a contract by his club so he’s a delisted free agent.

Edit: yep as per AJ above

Ah Chee hasn't been delisted by Brisbane, he is still on their list so technically their player.

At some point in time when one of the various list lodgements have been completed then and only then will AH Chee no longer be a Brisbane listed player.

RookieMe got Tylah Williams going in the 15-30 range. Expect us to use our picks after 13 to bid on him...unless they don't wanna bid...I dunno what this club's up to these days.

We'll surely match any bid on him

Exactly the sort of player we need

Will other clubs bid though?

Do we have enough rookie spots for Robertson, Clohesy and Blamires?

All would dominate the WAFL and put some instant heat into match sims.

I kinda think they'd all be more valuable to the list build than a Wes Walley as an example if we had to choose between them.

I do get the appeal of Tom Berry too, but he's only kicked 3 goals in the last two years at VFL level (3 from 13 games).

Clohesy kicked 10 goals from his last 13 games as a mid/hff as a comparison.
Blamires 4/ last 13
Robertson 3/ last 13

Potentially yes but it would require either delisting Livingstone or not adding Walley as a Cat B rookie or missing out on Evans or Cripps retiring

We currently have 5 main and 4 rookie list spots open -
• 3x R1 draft picks plus matched bids on Williams and Banfield would fill the 5 main list spots
• Robertson takes 1 rookie list spot
• Evans if he gets through the main draft without a bid would take a second spot

Would leave 2 spots for Clohesy and Blamires which would then leave no room for Walley unless Livingstone or Cripps make way

What the fuq did that have to do with you?
Pretty simple. You often talk the big talk then ask posters to do the work you should have done in responding.

A high school teacher of mine used to say to the class “better to remain silent and let the world think your a fool than to make a remark and remove doubt”.

Just saying

The whole reason I asked the poster to do some research, is that I had in an earlier post today I quoted some footy stats I’d sourced from rookie me central comparing CDT and TDK at the same age, and he was just posting as you are absolute crap.

Maybe you should have done a bit more reading rather than just talking shit.

Because he is not really a ruck. Read up on him!
I've done more reading up on him.

Cal Twomey - CDT (3) - Position RUCK
ESPN power rankings - CDT (4) - Position RUCK
Zero Hanger - CDT (3) - Position RUCK/FORWARD
RookieMeCentral - CDT (6) - Position RUCK/FORWARD
MSN - roaming RUCK

Ruckety, ruck, ruck, ruck. What am I missing?

With regards to the comments on CDT not being in top 10 for standing or running vertical he has been discussed as being just outside the top 10. Like many I was worried about the implications of this but looking back very few are and the only top rucks I found in the top 10 was Nic Nat and Tim English. Jackson, Xerri, Ethan Reid all not listed in top 10 as examples. He is a solid unit that can run and that doesn’t normally translate into a large vertical unlike smaller more dynamic athletes. If he was close to top 10 it would put his standing in the 68-71cm range, for context Barnett’s was 62cm.

Not advocating to select him at 2 but it’s not the argument for why not.

Is Hightower available at pick 13?

Pros - 6'7" and played professional sport so was an athlete
Cons - He died in 2011

Could roll him out Weekend at Bubba's style?
