Prediction 2026 Jumper Numbers

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

Now that the dust has settled on the trade window it's time for the way too early jumper number speculation!

Bragging rights on the line.

Where do the new guys land? Which current players get upgraded? Some tough calls to be made!

Available numbers:

3
9
21
27
29
31
36
37
41
42

New players:
JSOS, TDK, Ryan, Flanders, Fincher*

Have at it boys and girls. I'll have my early draft up over the weekend. Still debating on upgrades for Hall & Garcia...

3 Flanders
9 Boxs/Hall - Hall deserves an upgrade if he wants it, but I also like how our rookies keep their numbers in the 40's
21 De Koning
27 Silvagni
29 Ryan
36 Fincher

3 - Flanders - Think he takes the same number.

9 - Ryan - Worked alright for the last Eagle we put in it...

21 - TDK - I like the 12 reversed idea. Puts him near Roma too.

27 - JSOS - Our new 'Mr Fix-It'. Back, forward, ruck, wherever! Makes him locker buddies with Barratt & Tauru as well.

29 - LOC - Going on a limb here. I rekon LOC is gonna make that back pocket spot his own. Might as well give him JWeb's number!

31 - Banfield - His old man wore #31 for West Coast in his first season. Rekon it'd be a cool little nod.

36 - Fincher - The stereotypical "Halfback but might end up a mid" that the Saints love. Can he be the first player to get his name on the locker?

I have had a mental blank on the last Eagle to wear number 9 ?? Can you help please ?

3 - Flanders (same number)
9 - Ryan (keep him tight with Nas and Hilly)
21 - JSOS
27 - Hall (upgrade)
29 - TDK (set him up next to Dodson)

The rest can go to Draftees

3 Ryan - Love the idea of Collard and Ryan arm in arm at the lockers. Quick handover too after he retires in a few years
9 Boxshall - Let's just do it, kid's a weapon. No one better to take over the skip than Stainless Steele himself
21 De Koning - Pair him up with Roma at the locker - great for vibes to se the big guys leading the change room.
27 Flanders - Stiff but not the worst number to get around in. He'll climb into Ryan's 3 in a couple of years.
29 Silvagni - Teach young Jimmy Barrett or thing or two would ya sos.

Eventually when Macrae, Ryan, Hill, clark leave numbers could well be;

1. Higgins
2. Windhager
3. Flanders
4. Collard (Maybe Hall if Lance doesn't kick on)
5. Travaglia
6. Garcia
7. Wanganeen-Milera
8. Wilson
9. Boxshall
10. Owens
11. Tauru
12. King

25. Phillipou (Loves his number so stays here)
40. Hall (If Lance becomes Charlie Cameron)

3 SamFlan "Disco"
9 "Psycho" Keeler
17 Boxy ' proper unfashionable agitator's number
21 TDK
27 JSOS - mentoring the young backmen around him
29 Hall
31 Ryan - All stars number?
36 LOC
37 "Scalpweak" Armstrong
38 Draftee 1
39 Draftee 2
40 Draftee 3

Under NO circumstances should the ex-Carlton players all be lumped together, (ie: putting TDK JSOS near Stocker, Dow and Carroll - we need to erase that part of their lives and try to rebuild them

Pou loves his number? Fair enough if he does but would love to see him in the 9

King should give up 12. He needs a fresh start with a new number and TDK is our Riewoldt.
He is? In what way?

I don't see much resemblance other than both being tall and blond. Not just because of the different positions, but by the time Riewoldt was De Koning's age he had been voted AFL MVP, won multiple B&F's and AA's.

King is fine. His stats look great when put up against other KPFs across similar ages.

Hall looks a jet and could get upgraded. Same with Garcia.

Hammer might move up as he comes onto the senior list.

Otherwise I think the current crop hold for another year.
