I find music genres incredibly confusing. I understand what uptheWC is trying to say, you only have to read DorothyG's post and they've listed 7 different sub-genres when trying to describe Green Day's sound over the years.

Guitar - rock
Drum machine - dance
MC - hip hop
Screaming - metal
Redneck complaining - country
School music lessons instruments - classical

That's all you need IMO :$

I like rock though, it’s the sub genre that’s doing me over

What genre is Birds of Tokyo? Cause I hate that genre

I love earlier Birds of Tokyo stuff, probably right up until they did the team song. That coincided with them going to crap.

I respect that the singer made 2 bands - one for his good music, and one for his whiny trash.

Welp, changing topics back to movies then🤣

I watched big Bazzas Romeo + Juliet for the 1st time since I think year 10 English class.

Honestly, still holds up as a solid movie. Timeless storey with a unique take. Very of its time.

Does that movie idea get green lit now days, probably not. Which is a shame

But gee, young Leo was a bonafide stud😍

If we’re going back to previous topics, I’m currently driving to margs and my word I hate doing this behind people that go 90-100 in the 110. Thank god for the frequent overtaking lanes or I would probably lose my mind

Lurman could never quite recapture the magic after that.

I rewatched The Counsellor for the first time since my initial very disappointed viewing and was sad to say my opinion hadn't changed.

On paper:

Cormac McCarthy
Ridley Scott
Michael Fassbender
Javier Bardiem
Penelope Cruz
Brad Pitt

Sounds like the makings of one of the best films ever. Then the decision to cast Cameron Diaz as the mastermind villain absolutely f*cken ruined it. I both rue and lament the final product.

...although she did make for an interesting bonnet ornament.
