Reckon this would probably be the best role for him. Could see him becoming a handy goal kicker and one of the better tacklers in our forward line with his strength and little burst of speedI personally think Gallagher could make a pressure forward. Fit, great running capacity, strong tacklers and actually a good set shot for goal.
He was unlucky with injuries last year yet is the hardest worker in the club. I'm sure we will surprise a few next year. I'm seeing his Uncle tonight, I'll see if he can find out what position he is training for over the preseason.
Absolutely loved him towards the end. Will never forget he kicked a clutch set shot vs the Eagles in our 2020 game on the Gold Coast to get us the win. After all his bad luck with injures Roarke would have been one of the great stories had we won. Wasn't a star but was a handy player. Tough and versatile
Agree. Big frame. Will be huge in time.Buss has been hampered as you mentioned & was stick thin coming in. Has put on some size but has huge scope for improvement.
He will be a pretty imposing unit.

Caleb Daniel is a pretty solid fella.Even with two shoulder recos, under 100kg would be inexcusable. Both my shoulders are ****ed and I have to rehab them myself, and I did more than that at sub-90kg body weight.
He’s a professional footballer. Even Caleb Daniel should be able to bench 100+
If he is as hard a worker as you say, that gives him a chance.I personally think Gallagher could make a pressure forward. Fit, great running capacity, strong tacklers and actually a good set shot for goal.

Unfortunately, Buss really isn't that big by AFL standards.Agree. Big frame. Will be huge in time.
Ripping bloke.Loved some Roarke. If I ever see him, I’ll be sending a beer his way.
He is a huge unit if you see him up close. Once he gets a full pre season under his belt watch out.Unfortunately, Buss really isn't that big by AFL standards.

He's had only 2 preseasons though...We've been watching out for few preseasons already, hopefully the next one will be the charm.
I recognise that he is decent height, but possibly because of his shoulder issues, he doesn't play like a guy who has a size or strength advantage over his opponents. He tends to look like he is just battling to break even in that dimension most of the time.
I think he needs to work on his athleticism and anticipation as much as his strength, particularly if his shoulders are going to be a chronic issue.

I would have thought lifting heavy weights in repetitive sets would be one of the easier parts of a footy player's training . Even I could manage that (if the weights were not too heavy )
He hasn’t had 1 actually this will be his firstHe's had only 2 preseasons though...

Works on the roads now or he did at least. Sure I saw him in a TV or print ad or something.
He was in a misguided social media ad with Covid cookery star Nat from 'Nat's what i say' asking us to be kind to traffic controllers.
Unfortunately the comments section on FB make it seem like everyone hates traffic controllers. Then others jumped on and paid out the swful Victorian government for paying Nat to ask us to be nice to traffic controllers. Oh and they get paid way too much.
Which pretty much was the point of the advert whoosh
I don't miss facebook.
If Gallagher reminds me of anyone it’s Liam Picken. Liam’s kicking also took years to improve. Liam played a lot in VFL before we picked him up. We used him as a tagger first allowing him time to improve in many areas he was not great at. But like Gallagher, Liam was tough - maybe too much. In the end Liam was about as critical a player to that teams success as that team had, if there is pathway for Gags it’s the one Liam took. Not saying they're similar players, juts that sometimes roles are found for players and they thrive. So maybe Gallagher can be a run with player or a defensive forward or whatever, but for now, that clearly hasn't been figured out.
This actually makes perfect sense. If you have shoulder issues your bench press will always sufferI would have thought lifting heavy weights in repetitive sets would be one of the easier parts of a footy player's training . Even I could manage that (if the weights were not too heavy )
I feel like he’s problem is he try’s to do too much when he’s got the ball . I don’t know if he’s been instructed to take the game on or he just wants to be that guy. What ever reason it’s not working for him and he needs to get back to basics and keep it simple until he can nail the basics, very frustrating playerDo we need to find a spot for him - he seems to be another player that does great up until he actually has to take possession and dispose of the ball. Contrast with someone like dolan who just looks sharp as a tack with ball in hand.
Gags just has to work on his faults and when he does he will demand a position almost anywhere, but his faults are the kind that dont fix easy
Completely pointless unless including perineum sunningLifting heavy weights isn't enough. You also need to practice semenal retention to spike your testosterone.
