Haven't seen much of McAndrew but all reports are he's not ready to be an AFL ruckman, so where does that leave us?

I thought I read that the recruitment of Finbar Maley was largely due to the ruck rules changes?

ROB is cooked. The only thing he is capable of competing with is gone.
Take out boundary throw ins and he's even worse.

Really should have gone hard for a Dodson type. A jumping basketball style player would be a good option.

That part definitely, however his aerobic base will help when the umpires will no longer wait for ruckmen to arrive at the contest

Our genius strategy will be to either play an extra ruck in the 23 or to have TT take centre bounces with ROB setting up as a key forward.

My read of this is that rucks should now be mobile and almost midfielder like.

They cant get away with 10 disposals games, they need to get involved between the arcs since their ruck work will be halved.

Maybe clubs start going for slightly smaller but more athletic rucks?

We really need to trade one in next year and/or draft one.

I noticed quite a few clubs such as Geelong, Gold Coast, Hawthorn, Collingwood etc. Quell his influence by blocking him first.

You're trolling him due to his unathletic game, but the games he got smashed in, it was because he was going for the ball and the opposition did this to him.
