Watched XT videos for hours today. Conclusion he is ok nothing flash. His kicking is quite dicey he can really miss a target at times. He competes very hard and has very good agility.
Nothing stands out about him plus he is a In between size. OT a far superior player what a gun !

I think he has OK disposal and is OK to decent overhead. I think that worries me, even with the competitiveness. Particularly so early.

I keep seeing these comparisons for CDT but the one I see most is Buddy. He's tall, quick, good at ground level and appears to have a good footy brain. Not so good in the air. Not sure he's a ruckman. I'd be reluctant to pass on CDT. He probably has the highest ceiling of anyone in the draft.

The way i see it the days of Ruckman like Nank are quickly coming to an end and importance on Rucks are diminishing
The way i see the game go is having 3-4 players capable of playing multiple roles similar to Blicavs
balta , CDT , Sims ,Miler could all take some throw in's and CDT/Sims could take center bounces

All depends on what CDT foward craft is like and if he actually can play other roles to a high level and not just be a runner

I wouldn’t be surprised if Essendon traded picks 5 & 6 to West Coast and receive from West Coast picks 2 & 13. The trade is maybe weighted in West Coasts favour, but it delivers Essendon pick 2 and CDT while still holding another 2 picks in the first round. Under this scenario, it protects our picks and ensures we go home with Sharp & Cumming.

Essendon are guaranteed to get one of Robey, CDT, Sharp or Cumming. Guaranteed.

That's a sweet deal for them even if they have to take the "worst" of those 4. With pick 6 they presumably get to choose from Grill or Taylor. I mean I know Essendon is run by muppets these days but I doubt they are that stupid to slide way down to 13 when the top 6 is pretty much a no brainer.

If there's going to be hail mary's thrown around it's surely going to be Melbourne where they can really jump ahead and get one of the highly rated kids. They may well knock on our door rather than West Coast's.

Reid had a really good first year. But Smillie has a much higher ceiling. If you’re going to do a Harry hindsight draft review, at least give it a couple of seasons!

I don’t mind Cumming as an option.

Who knows at this stage, Smillie may never fire. But he has the potential and attributes to be the #1 guy in a midfield. Reid is a good, classy role playing type but he will never be that guy.
