Mildura are strong, imps likewise, you just have to look at where south Mildura finished this year in sunraysia with a lot of central murray stars to see the comp is pretty strong and Ouyen have recruited 5 top liners this year, with afl and sanfl experience and Robinvale have some big recruits too
Imps won last years flag because they spent up big there Reserves were hopeless in recent seasons and their juniors were R S they have not fielded an under 18 side for a few seasons. Mildura deserved this years flag due to the effort put in by the volunteers to recruit and retain players, encourage there juniors and build a strong supporter base.
There seem to be numerous strong recruits coming into to the league for ‘26 especially in the clubs that have been down for a few seasons or just missing out .
Irymple played in this years Grand Final and tend to rely on there juniors rather than expensive recruits. This approach has been very successful despite a turnover of players.

Moulamein announce another from Noosa Adam Curry. Has played reserves most of his career. Wonder if they are flying in or moving down south.

I am hearing Nick Oniell may backflip on his decision to leave nyah after the big signings of Carlin, Calder and Ross

Swan Hill announced 3 ex juniors returning.
We’re thrilled to welcome back three familiar faces for 2026 - Flynn Angus, Rory Sheldrick and Liam Thornton!
🦢

All three came through the Swan Hill FNC junior ranks and return to the club after spending time playing footy down in Melbourne’s VAFA competition.

They hardly set the world on fire playing in the lower levels of the ammo's.

Whens the announcement of Mack Kelly's return?

I attempted to play or partipated in the central murray, golden rivers, bendigo, heathcote, Loddon Valley and mcdfl at a pretty basic level.

Lucky enough through work to have lived in different parts of the state and seen what makes good clubs. At the moment
Ovens and murray and geelong are head and shoulders above the rest of the leagues.
Gv, ballarat, Gippsland and hampden and maybe sunraysia next level.
Then bendigo, murray, central murray, bellarine west gippy, heathcote, north central, Wimmera the next level down

The rest would be pretty equal
Hope that helps
If you think Sunraysia is better than Bendigo then you have truly lost the plot.

Missed the mark here Trent. SFL wouldn't come close to Bendigo comp.

They haven't come close to CM in rep comp either.
I dont take that much notice of rep footy to be honest, but we all dont need to sgree either, but the recruits in sunraysia over the past 3 years would be some of the best in the state and their top 20 players in the comp would be right up there with the best leagues in the state

All interleague has proved is that Falvo has no idea compared to Demaria
