I keep flipping and flopping aswell. I'd rather not use a top 4 (top 8 after all the academy bullshit) on Grjl. If we like him enough and split 4 then so be it.

If we don't split then I want Robey and Sharp or CDT. I'm not sure how CDT fits with the rest of the big guys, Robey and Sharp would be my ideal first scenario.

Average speed, average height, average skills, average mark and picks up cheap possessions as loose man in defence.

He is a lock to be a good ordinary player but no chance of being a match winner. Robey and Grlj 100%

In an open pool yes fair enough but it isnt were we are picking so using one of our picks on him is reasonable IMO.

Disagree. That being said, I prefer any of the other members top 7 over him.

In that order. Grlj edges out Sharp because of team need, but maybe we will just go complete best available and focus more on next year's kids.

If we traded 4 + F4 + 38 to Melb for 7 + F1 (GC) + 37, I'd be fine with it.
Grlj is likely still there at 7, we get another 2026 1st, and that 1 draft spot move might make us able to bid on someone like Jai Murray at 36 (after all the previous academy and fatherson selections being matched), where GC need to actually match a bid with points (that they might not have)
