Cash is King
Very hot especially in South
Food ridiculously cheap and tasty especially if eat in side streets. Banh Mi for Brekky around 30c.
Try Egg coffee but Coconut coffee my favourite
Incredible golf courses
People are lovely
Make sure travel docs are 100% correct or they will fine you at customs
Great shopping
Drink lots of water
Every city is very different
Danang/Hanoi/Ho An my favourites
Lots of expats
Transport easy. Grab is best

Take the cholera 'vaccine' (it's two doses of water with a pill like berocca).

Not for cholera though. Before I discovered (was taught) this trick I got Bali belly/ Delhi belly/ whatever belly wherever I went. At a 100% rate in foreign countries for someone who travels fairly regularly. Since. 0. Including trips to Sri lanka Morocco Indonesia Fiji and .... Vietnam. . The vaccine has a side effect of severely reducing upset stomach rates

First time I visited Asia... Was a hilarious experience buying clothes in Med, Large and even XL.... As opposed to Small or even XS in Aus.

Of course, fast forward 20 years and I'm no longer at my 'playing weight' and I'm buying Large again... But in Australia...

I’m not saying there aren’t benefits - albeit flavour, texture, enjoyment aren’t some of them!
