He's not a better kick than Fred Rodriguez. Period!

I didn't compare them but there are very few true rookies who can snap a goal from 50 meters off a step like Langford did this year, plus his fantastic touch with his field kicking. One of them is playing the highest level, the other is a Colts player.

Probably should wait until Rodriguez plays a few AFL matches before making that statement. I'm not saying Rodriguez isn't a good kick for the level he is at.

I think one of the issues that has him going lower than his current output is that every club just about has a player already in his preferred role as that bigger contested/defensive midfielder and most players in that position are also not considered stars of the competition but the ones that are like Green/Rowell have one very elite trait.

Sharp I feel will be a very good midfielder but likely not the best midfielder in that teams side so clubs would also have to weigh up if they want to use a top 5 pick on a player that is going to be good but potentially not great.

He could very well become a 200+ player and even win some BNF’s so as much as I wouldn’t take him at my own club personally I don’t think any club would be upset to take him.
I’d be curious to see how he compares athletically to similar players like Libratore or T Green - players like this still absolutely have a role to fill lay at AFL especially if you can balance and complement the midfield around them with different types of mids.

I think Libba and Green are elite clearance players im not sure if Sharp will be elite in that sense. What Sharp does do though like Libba is also provide strong defensive/tackle numbers. He probably translates closer to Dunkley who isnt the main clearance player at Lions but is their best tackler and grunt to allow the better clearance players to do their thing.

Yeah, my apologies. I replied to the wrong post. I liked your reply though.

I currently have a major Phantom Draft in the works. The main point of this one though is that clubs will fill list spots to match what they had in 2025. Most teams try to make a balanced list and most clubs have some similarities but also a few differences which was fascinating to research.

This will be a Phantom draft taking in bids (Clubs will only bid on players who match their list strategy and not best available) and will be an attempt for the whole draft (Even the rookie draft)

Along with the Phantom Draft I’ll likely create a seperate thread showing the research I’ve made on every list (Which had some help from some fantastic supporters on BF). I feel a lot of supporters might not like how this whole thing goes but if we all agree on something is that clubs will always complain about their own clubs lost decisions 😂

I'm looking forward to this as the Tigers certainly fit the bill of the bolded part

Hey mate, really appreciate your work and I’m looking forward to the stuff you have in the pipeline.

Just a question on Ah-Mu if you don’t mind, did he test at the combine and do you have any of his results (including height)?

Thanks again.

Still a bit of a wait until it’s out, it will be up tomorrow but not on Bigfooty first. I will include the summary and the full lists the exercise was based on in their own thread tomorrow night.

This took alot to do and has exhausted me a bit but I’m so happy with how it turned out and has given me so much knowledge on every clubs lists and studying the similarities and differences each list has.

He did test at the combine and it wasn’t a great showing, if you want to check out more on him and his height you should check out the Rookie Me Central draft guide. They have all the official measurements and access to testing data.

I did read his Rookie Me profile which was published just after I asked the question, so I did see he was measured at 198.

The other measurables seem like they were bad enough to only be hinted at and therefore the reason he has completely dropped off every single power ranking.

Bit of a shame as he seems a very natural footballer. I still hope a team gives him a shot.

Inb4 someone posts you have no idea about insert posters teams list.

Excellent effort.
I’ll eventually put up a thread that includes a breakdown of every clubs list for 2026, planned to do that tonight but I’m mentally drained so it will have to wait.

Interesting mate. What’s the thought process on Eagles picking Schubert with Dovaston still on the board (if you’ve got the energy to answer any time soon)? Lots of applause deserved for the depth of this. Love your work as per usual

That was one I was really debating on. Went with Schubert as you have Walley and Williams coming through and taking Schubert really shores up the tall stocks for the next few years and you can put more resources for other spots going forward. I did originally have Dovaston there but changed once the list balance by the end didn’t line up well.
