Plus - I'd rather a later main draft pick than Stevens as a rookie.

You can still do that, can have a main list of 37 and only 5 rookies.Plus - I'd rather a later main draft pick than Stevens as a rookie.
We need to make a mandatory 3 selections at the draft so we had to delist a contracted player (Welsh). This leaves us with 34 on Senior list and Rookie List with Welsh added is full. We need to make the mandatory three selections at the national draft making senior list 37 and then we draft AhChee in preseason making it 38 and 4 and 1 cat b in Cotton. You can still do that, can have a main list of 37 and only 5 rookies.

No we have to have a mandatory 3. These can include a rookie upgrade. Its why we had to delist Welsh. To make 4 open spots. Now we take 3 in the draft and then Ah Chee in the pre season. Can we only take two selections if we don't upgrade any rookies? That feels incorrect to me.
I wasn’t aware Keane was getting upgraded so yeah that changes it to 38 on main list and 4 on rookie listWrong. This below is correct except Welsh comes out and moves to the rookie list leaving us with no Cat A Rookies spot and 4 senior spots.

That happened last year.I wasn’t aware Keane was getting upgraded so yeah that changes it to 38 on main list and 4 on rookie list
Regardless though Keane as an upgrade counts as a draft selection so you only need to draft 2 players with the upgrade and can leave a spot open for a rookie. Twomey reported that your club is only looking to take 1-2 picks at the draft
Keane was upgraded last year. Twomey is wrong. As we are not upgrading any rookies this year so will have to use the three.I wasn’t aware Keane was getting upgraded so yeah that changes it to 38 on main list and 4 on rookie list

And as a Rookie.Cody Curtin going to power in that mock![]()
This is a good result. Keeps Dan in SA. Cody is unlikely to make it as a player. Hence why he isn’t even rated in the top 50 of this draft.Cody Curtin going to power in that mock![]()
Hey its not as bad as you think. He still moves to SA so Dan has his brother here, and if it didn't work out player wise, it wont be us delisting his brother...silver linings and all thatCody Curtin going to power in that mock![]()
C4[2]Yo`DooR Hey mate, any news regarding Carlton's 9 and 11 trades?
Adelaide cap on I'm not really interested in a future first for pick 11.Nothing that isn't already public knowledge.
The battle is on between WCE and Adelaide for Pick 9 and Adelaide/St Kilda/Melbourne for 11.
But I'm guessing these deals would be done in real time and would be conditional on the players that are still on offer at each pick.
They talked about it on Gettable. Carlton likely to do the trade when their bid comes in, which means Adelaide will likely be going in blind.Adelaide cap on I'm not really interested in a future first for pick 11.
Pick 9? Maybe. If it's Sharp.
This pick swap with Richmond is the only way we would get Sharp, seems like a lot to pay though. If we were after sharp and were prepared to pay, then i think we would bite Richmonds arm off to get pick 4 and no doubt it would be 16 + F1 + F2 straight up from our end with nothing else coming back
I'm interested to know where Indy Cotton would appear on this list?Crows 38 M43

It leaves 34 on main list and 5 on rookie list. 2 draft picks makes that 36 and Stevens makes 6 for rookie which makes the full 42.
One of Sharp, Cumming, Grlj, Farrow and Schubert will be available at Carlton's first pick (two if Code Sports' rumour of Melbourne taking Dovaston is true). This pick swap with Richmond is the only way we would get Sharp, seems like a lot to pay though.
Trading up to get who IMO is more a speculative tall than a bankable draftee is madness. I really hope the club isn’t that into him.One of Sharp, Cumming, Grlj, Farrow and Schubert will be available at Carlton's first pick (two if Code Sports' rumour of Melbourne taking Dovaston is true).
I'm not that high on Schubert, but the Club apparently is. On that basis, the deal looks worth doing.
Swap pick 17 to 19 next year (after FA and acadamy) for 13 this year and get a year into our recruit.
Melbourne need a tall forward more than we do. Cross your fingers.Trading up to get who IMO is more a speculative tall than a bankable draftee is madness. I really hope the club isn’t that into him.
