Correct. Doesn't matter if it's 2 main list plus one rookie or 3 mainlist but it's maximum 3 total additionsSo basically we can only take 2 picks in the draft aswell as will Darcy and that’s our list full? No chance of grabbing 3 in the draft and Darcy too ?
Surely not. It’ll be good to have another Darcy developing just incase, but let’s be honest on his output so far he’ll be extremely lucky to be drafted. We’ve probably been told that Darcy will be bid on earlier than we thought & needed a pick with points.

Only possible extras would be if we managed to snare a Cat B rookie or 2.Correct. Doesn't matter if it's 2 main list plus one rookie or 3 mainlist but it's maximum 3 total additions
Realisticly it can only be that, looking to package it and 33 up once picks have been absorbed from bids or moving 14 into next year. We’ve probably been told that Darcy will be bid on earlier than we thought & needed a pick with points.
We could take any of our NGA's as Cat B rookies if they're overlooked but we'd have to nominate them first. Doesn't look like we've done that for any of them. Can we take Kobe Williams as a Cat B if no bids are placed?
Seems like a disappointing result considering it’s a free hit with no cap or list impact. We could take any of our NGA's as Cat B rookies if they're overlooked but we'd have to nominate them first. Doesn't look like we've done that for any of them.
I agree but have been told it's still weighed up as spreading the coaches and developement staff across more players. I can't see how one more player who takes no other capital is that much of a strain though.Seems like a disappointing result considering it’s a free hit with no cap or list impact.
Yeah if this guy wasn't a Darcy would anyone even be talking about drafting him?Surely not. It’ll be good to have another Darcy developing just incase, but let’s be honest on his output so far he’ll be extremely lucky to be drafted.
Bugger . Would’ve been nice to grab a slider with the eagles pickCorrect. Doesn't matter if it's 2 main list plus one rookie or 3 mainlist but it's maximum 3 total additions
Nor the pick we got back with Budarick. So the pick we got from Suns for JUH will no longer exist after that pick trade haha

70 and 74 won't be there anymore. We can only go into the draft with 3 picks.I still feel like we make another draft day trade now with this pick. Maybe we use 53 and 33 to move up a few slots with a team who needs points or wants another late pick. Maybe its 14 and 33 to go up a few slots to grab a slider and then use 53 and 70 as our next two picks.
I dont think we just traded a future 4th to grab Darcy with an earlier pick.

So we could still trade picks away as long as we get the same amount of picks back right?70 and 74 won't be there anymore. We can only go into the draft with 3 picks.
I don't think this is true - we have to make some upgrades to the main list, right? Which are done at the draft, so we would have to be able to access more picks.70 and 74 won't be there anymore. We can only go into the draft with 3 picks.

My apologies you're correct! Can take in 70 and 74 due to upgrading Baker and JOD.I don't think this is true - we have to make some upgrades to the main list, right? Which are done at the draft, so we would have to be able to access more picks.
Once the draft starts you can bring in as many picks as you like. As pointed out above though we will be able to take in 5 picks as we require two more spots for upgrades. So we could still trade picks away as long as we get the same amount of picks back right?
IE 14 and 33 for 12 and 50 (just as an example) or 33 and 53 for 28 and 68?
We still have that flexibility but have to maintain 3 picks? Or if we use 33 and 53 to trade for say pick 25, do we then just have to hope Darcy falls to the rookie draft or we miss out on him?

This is a loophole used when matching bids and why Suns won't split their picks until the draft starts even though theyd be arranged prior.
