Correct. Doesn't matter if it's 2 main list plus one rookie or 3 mainlist but it's maximum 3 total additions

Surely not. It’ll be good to have another Darcy developing just incase, but let’s be honest on his output so far he’ll be extremely lucky to be drafted.

Only possible extras would be if we managed to snare a Cat B rookie or 2.

Realisticly it can only be that, looking to package it and 33 up once picks have been absorbed from bids or moving 14 into next year.

We could take any of our NGA's as Cat B rookies if they're overlooked but we'd have to nominate them first. Doesn't look like we've done that for any of them.

Seems like a disappointing result considering it’s a free hit with no cap or list impact.

I agree but have been told it's still weighed up as spreading the coaches and developement staff across more players. I can't see how one more player who takes no other capital is that much of a strain though.

It didn't exist before it either effectively. 70 was going to be our last pick before this trade, now 53 will be.

I still feel like we make another draft day trade now with this pick. Maybe we use 53 and 33 to move up a few slots with a team who needs points or wants another late pick. Maybe its 14 and 33 to go up a few slots to grab a slider and then use 53 and 70 as our next two picks.

Seems like a remarkably strange trade unless we plan on making more moves.

Perhaps we will move our pick 33 into 2026 as additional collateral and plan to use pick 14, 53 and pick up Darcy late?

Ahhh ok I thought we could trade away picks on the night and still access those picks once we traded, damn.

Seems strange we wouldn't just sign Coffield and / or Baker after the draft and have the extra pick flexibility? That would mean we have to de-list with the intention to re-draft like Sydney are doing with Rampe and Lloyd hey?

My apologies you're correct! Can take in 70 and 74 due to upgrading Baker and JOD.
