As the only small in a starved forward line, Wotherspoon has been fighting hard since after half time

Much like watching the guys, you watch us battle insanely hard for a goal only to dip right after and let them get one back

If anything this last quarter has shown that we are simply not fit enough to run out a game against top sides. Just unable to create any run, or get back and cover. Honestly being outworked and looked stuffed

Disappointing but not unexpected. I thought we made a decent effort and defensively this came off at times, but their run and general clean game got us. Zanker down wasn’t helpful either. Ah well

Forward structure let us down badly. Not sure why we had Banno as deepest forward in 1v2s so often with Gall and Harris on the field (plus Campbell or Pearce if you want to throw them there). Killed aerially despite our height. Struggled to keep up the pressure after qt and some panic in defence very costly.

Hopefully Chaplin is back in to settle the defence and Zanker can back up next week (but tbh wouldn't mind a smaller setup up forward).

Agree. Heath still plays a quiet but neat game, impressive given she’s been around a fair while, and Pearce also good

Zanker doing the Wayne Carey thing of late was what gave us a chance against the best teams. No surprise we went to shit when we had to depend on the inconsistent tall brigade without her out there.

Heath i feel went very quiet when the rest of the team did. That handball to the hot spot in front of goals was horrid. Otherwise i could see her trying to lift

Pearce i felt was okay but became very predictable in the middle for Brisbane's mids and wasn't overly damaging around the ground. I feel the jump of Campbell late in the game and Pearce as a target forward actually helped turn things a bit, but obviously not enough

O'Heir despite some mistakes just quietly i thought looked really up the the physicality and pace of finals which is a good sign for a young player

We’ve been training the tall forward setup all year and whether it works depends pretty much on Zanker having a great game. We get lost if she’s not there - she’s marking so well the latter part of the season.
