The "points" here are the combined points for finishing position - i.e. Brisbane has 18 men's points as premiers + 16 women's points for being third. Hawthorn is fourth in both for 15+15. Percentage is the tiebreaker if points are equal.Everything I've read says its just on end of season ladder position, nothing to do with W/L/%

It's still going because the AFL changed the rules, again.Did we win?
It's not really much money when you think about it though.No-one cares about the trophy, but they do care about the million wing wangs you get with it.
It's the trophy version of Jack Bowes, no-one actually wanted him, just the Pick 7 he came with.
Last year, half went to the club and half went to the players. $500k was a decent little bonus to add to constructing our new digs at Dingley. I'm sure most clubs would put that to good use. It's not really much money when you think about it though.
30 AFLW players
44 AFL players
74 players total = 13.5K each.
Some of the AFL players would pay that in fines each year but probably a nice bonus for the women and rookies.
3 way battle between the hawks, lions and crowsDid we win?
Surely half went to the coaches/staff and half to the players. So maybe 6-7K each.Last year, half went to the club and half went to the players. $500k was a decent little bonus to add to constructing our new digs at Dingley. I'm sure most clubs would put that to good use.
Impossible now. With a home prelim Brisbane at worst finish 3rd which is greater than what Hawthorn did in the men's... irrespective of how far hawks women's side can get (lol)Hawthorn must win their final vs Carlton next week in order to stay in the race for the million.
If both home teams lose their prelim, NM finishes 3rd and BL finishes 4th.Impossible now. With a home prelim Brisbane at worst finish 3rd which is greater than what Hawthorn did in the men's... irrespective of how far hawks women's side can get (lol)
If Hawthorn win out (Which means they knock out Brisbane) They tie on pts.Impossible now. With a home prelim Brisbane at worst finish 3rd which is greater than what Hawthorn did in the men's... irrespective of how far hawks women's side can get (lol)
They would have to beat Lions and the grand finalWith Brisbane winning Adelaide's mathematically eliminated.
I think Hawthorn can mathematically win it, but would require an average of 40pt wins from here on out I think?
So in effect, Brisbane has won it.
No Lions are 2 games ahead of hawks and Lions percentages is strongerIf Hawthorn win out (Which means they knock out Brisbane) They tie on pts.
It would come down to percentage.
that was the 2024 rulesNo Lions are 2 games ahead of hawks and Lions percentages is stronger
No Lions won twice since Hawks lostthat was the 2024 rules
2025 it changed
Have we won it yet
