If we only use 2 picks in the draft and have 2 spots free, I wouldnt have an issue just offering one straight up to Phillips. Fills a need and surely we've seen enough of him by now to make a call. Leaves 1 spot for train ons.

I'd be seriously disappointed if true because while I can admire his interest and commitment, there are far more talented options available that would be in R1 contention and see great opportunities on 2 year contract.
Hopefully we're just giving him a close look and he's studying or he's on staff in the footy department or sport college.
EDIT: He's listed as having a full time gig elsewhere at a logistics company, but supposedly had that role when the Hawks signed him in the SSP last year, so not sure what the story is.

Phillips wont be getting a 2 year contract. He'll get rookied, not taken in the ND if we take him.

They don't update lockers until after draft and all numbers are allocated. Contract finished 31 Oct
durds name is gone but I guess there is no chance of him coming back
So they have officially paid him out?

Derksen or Sam Frost, Derksen if we want cover at both ends. I think he quickly leaps ahead of Young and allows us to let him go.

Pretty sure that's not Hewett in 29, and could just as easily not be Carroll in 32, nor Young in 45.
