Nice article on Sharp addressing his weaknesses the last couple of years to become a more well rounded pure midfielder.
Interesting that he notes his 'high speed and power ability'. Maybe he's not such a poor athlete as the naysayers like to point out....

"I'd always been recognised as an inside midfielder that could get the job done in a contested environment. But there'd always been doubts on my outside game. This year, with my high speed and power ability, to get myself on the outside was a major focus.

How many Rookie spots do we have.
Reckon he could slide too a Rookie with his ACL.
We have 5 spots 2-4 on the senior list and 1-3 Cat A rookies

36 on senior list if we selected players with 3 + 4 and traded pick 38 + rookied Louis Kellaway
37 on senior list if we selected 3 players on the ND and rookie listed Kellaway
38 on senior list if we selected 3 players and matched a bid on Kellaway

Option A is my preference as next year's draft is rated higher

Smillie has a quad injury he hasn't been medically retired. I don't thinkthe recent news changes our draft plans at all
This. Its a soft tissue injury on a first year player who is still growing. Much like cotch and Grimes in their first few years. People need to relax, the sky is not falling and our recruiters aren't going to change their plans based on a first year players injury.

THIS^^^^^

I think we need to accept this may well continue until his body settles from growing. Patience is necessary, not the first young player to have issues when drafted. I'm totally comfortable (also for a young man who was considered a No 1 pick in a strong draft).
Imagine how frustrated he is? when all he wants to do is be out there with his draft mates? Also we stand by him as a club & supporters, we will have a player who's loyalty will always be with RFC. All the best to you Josh.

This boy is being extremely under rated in this draft
he is the player that is the most likely to make it at AFL and play 250+ games

This boy can football

Adam Simpson on SEN just said Dylan Patterson is a Harris Andrew’s type.

And robey was a butters type.

Thanks for the comparisons Simmo
They all play football so makes sense

Confirmed Smillie new Quad injury done fresh on the track yesterday. Robey, Sharp and Cumming only please. Non-negotiable..

This is just an SuperCoach nuff that posts content from Bigfooty, Twitter (literally anyone that claims to be a track watcher), PRE etc as gospel.
Safe to completely ignore.

He has literally been the presumptive no.1 pick coming into the year and has maintained being a top 5 pick all year? How is that underrated?

Compared to what the other players have produced in the last 2 years he should be rated #1

Could say the same about Jagga and he wasn’t no.1.

Sharp is a gun but has limitations at afl level which are being argued. He isn’t being underrated, he’s being assessed.

Just out of curiosity how do you think a midfield of sharp and jagga would have looked? Feels like there is a lot of complimentary parts of their games but also concerning parts of their game with their shared flaws

Excellent meat and potatoes midfield but lacking a genuine play maker or threat like a Lalor or Bont or Daicos, also limited positional versatility.

Neither are overly dangerous by foot.
