Wonder if they’ll outnumber us during any days tests at g.
Have shared a beer or three with some of them at the AO tests over the years.

When they started in the mid 90's, there wasn't many of them and they were genuine cricket nuffies who loved the game and a few beers and were great to talk to. Lots of friendly banter, no issues at all.

The last couple of England tours here however in my opinion have seen them change. They're not the same now, as they have a lot of 'hangers on' with them now and some of them are absolute ********s.

Better bowler, bat and 10 years younger than Abbott - Nah can't have players like him in the squad

Neser should be ahead of both

It will be interesting the reception they receive during the summer when they create atmosphere, as opposed to what ppl say about the indian crowd who id argue are the biggest cricket nuffies around

I would agree, thought he was after Boland in the pecking order pretty much.

I get Doggett but on what planet is Abbott ahead lol

The bloke keeps getting a gig

I've wondered that myself, like you say he's always thereabouts, the selectors might be seeing something i don't.

If you mean Doggett, probably rewards Shield performance I guess. Did take another 5 for yesterday. I do however have questions on whether he's just an outstanding domestic bowler.

Abbott though yikes...picked off bowling 9 overs this season...oh but don't stress boys he got 1/75 this game...improving I tell ya, dead set Jack Edwards bowled better

Sorry was talking about Abbott so agreed there. I think Doggett would deserve a go at some point if we had injuries, though we might have a few retirements coming up for quicks so he may get in.

Can see Doggett being a stop gap before your Buckinham types are ready, might turn into a boland as 'next best' fill in when need be

Webster 4 wickets. Surely in at 6 and we can end the Green fantasy.

Not really, and frankly can see them playing both. If Green gets through his bowling load he's ahead of Webster, he just is. I would play both personally.

should be green as a batsman, and webster as an all arounder. i highly doubt that green'll be the one given the majority of overs given his history with injury.

Exactly what I would do, however not sure what way the selectors go. It probably depends on workloads. If we assume we don't need the AR in Perth (well we sure as anything shouldn't), it's probably Adelaide where we need overs. Brisbane is a pink ball test. So they may decide to play Green as a bat and just build his loads in the nets until Adelaide

You need to feel for Konstas abit.. was rushed into the side averaging 50 in FC cricket over a small sample size and just hasn't lived up to it.

I'm not picking Marnus as an opener and I'm not picking Green ahead of him at 3.

If he can't be trusted to bowl normally, he doesn't play.

I don't think a all rounder will be required anyhow, England batsmen suck and I reckon we'll getting bowling tracks anyhow

He's a better bat than Webster and is ahead regardless, he has test hundreds and a test 5 for.

I like Webster and I'd probably play both but he's not getting picked ahead of Green as a top 6 bat. We won't need an A/R for a few weeks anyway he can build his loads in the nets

Needs a year to work on his game, he'll get there but no need to rush the guy

aus selectors and torpedoing confidence in young players. what a surprise!

We'd near be bat you know what crazy to give England a road so I hope we go the other way give us bowling pitches and back the Smith, Khawaja and Marnus to get us enough runs. Bar Root and Stokes who are their normal bats that can play a normal innings rather than swinging like a you know what from ball 1.
