Good to see some activity at Avondale, however wouldn’t say it’s a bunch of recruits that will do anything except build depth for a side that was pretty good in 2025.

Couple from east Brighton and 1 from st Albans, the rest are reserves players from current leagues or lower leagues such as division 2 southern which is below average comp. One is QAFL reserves, hardly a good comp up there anymore.

For a side that made finals, bringing 9 in I would have thought if got $$ to spend could have been better spent based on the names on paper.

I’d suspect half will play, half won’t, factoring in points as well.

Correct. A few quality players. Most will be depth players, which is actually a good thing.

I’ll have a crack at an early predication after most recruits have been named. This is West Coburgs best chance to win it.

West Coburg
Oak Park
Avondale Heights
Taylor’s Lakes
Craigeburn

Tullamarine
Moonee Valley
St.Albans
Rupo
Easy Keillor

There are always exceptions but a proven local footy player is usually better than an unknown quantity dropping back. You don’t know how committed they are or how the change of style will impact them. Hetherington is a safe bet on exposed form.
Confirmed now that this is a pìsstake

Anyone who has recruited guys straight out of the system would say the same thing. Incredibly difficult with some guys to know if they will be elite or just a good player once they train off.
Yeah but his different as gone back to his junior club. I’m sure he would have got much bigger offers elsewhere probably 2/3x but went back to WC. Good on him..
