Correct. A few quality players. Most will be depth players, which is actually a good thing.Good to see some activity at Avondale, however wouldn’t say it’s a bunch of recruits that will do anything except build depth for a side that was pretty good in 2025.
Couple from east Brighton and 1 from st Albans, the rest are reserves players from current leagues or lower leagues such as division 2 southern which is below average comp. One is QAFL reserves, hardly a good comp up there anymore.
For a side that made finals, bringing 9 in I would have thought if got $$ to spend could have been better spent based on the names on paper.
I’d suspect half will play, half won’t, factoring in points as well.
Avondale gone bang, 9 quality recruits in the transfers. SA ruck in the mix of them

Brandon Ellis may disagreeI might have missed it but Sean Heatherington back to Rupertswood slipped under the radar ? Best recruit to this division so far, Rupo should be very competitive
Yeah that’s a fair call. Heatherington is a genuine class midfielder at Premier level and has dominated this level previously.Brandon Ellis may disagree
Who?Brandon Ellis may disagree
Hopefully this is just shtposting and not seriousWho?
Roxy in Div 2I’ll have a crack at an early predication after most recruits have been named. This is West Coburgs best chance to win it.

Moonee Valley
St.Albans

There are always exceptions but a proven local footy player is usually better than an unknown quantity dropping back. You don’t know how committed they are or how the change of style will impact them. Hetherington is a safe bet on exposed form.Gold Coast Suns and Richmond Tigers
Confirmed now that this is a pìsstakeThere are always exceptions but a proven local footy player is usually better than an unknown quantity dropping back. You don’t know how committed they are or how the change of style will impact them. Hetherington is a safe bet on exposed form.
Anyone who has recruited guys straight out of the system would say the same thing. Incredibly difficult with some guys to know if they will be elite or just a good player once they train off.Confirmed now that this is a pìsstake
He will have to deal with the Bermuda Triangle of wings on the toy ground.Anyone who has recruited guys straight out of the system would say the same thing. Incredibly difficult with some guys to know if they will be elite or just a good player once they train off.
Oh wow, sorry I don’t watch much AFLUm Richmond AFL premiership player moved to GC and now back home. Can play. Just saying. But you knew that.
Yeah but his different as gone back to his junior club. I’m sure he would have got much bigger offers elsewhere probably 2/3x but went back to WC. Good on him..Anyone who has recruited guys straight out of the system would say the same thing. Incredibly difficult with some guys to know if they will be elite or just a good player once they train off.
Didn't Ellis win two AFL premierships in 2017 and 2019 at the Tigers under Damien Hardwick so probs can offer a bit to Wests.Oh wow, sorry I don’t watch much AFL
Would suggest he’s quite handy then lol
