How much better is Duursma than the pack?
Ie if we offered 3,4 for 1 & 13, are the Eagles definitely saying no?
Organic growth, puppet master! Magic take your meds and go back to bed. The only thing operating in a vacuum is you. Your head is empty.it is not about picking mids.
it is about best available..saying Taylor is more essential than Cummings and Sharp sounds like crap to me because the players drive how we play, including organic growth, and how we win premierships more than any would be puppet master would like to think. getting cute over timing and this type and that type is open to ridicule because it disrespects the opposition and what they do, as well as the players own autonomy( they are humans not sheep) as if we have a margin for error we can play around with to win premierships. Remember no Dusty we probably are still 40 years plus chasing our next premiership
it would not matter who we pick, highly unlikely we make this wildcard entry point next year. Furthermore, the more attractive our team is the more likely others like Taylor come like in a trade, the other thing one has to factor is is what does Sharp do for Smilie? what does Cummings do for Hotton in terms of giving them what they need to forge them into a premiership force in the years ahead, because these players are not operating in a vacuum, no matter any puns with Dyson
So the info posted here indicates that WC will definitely pick from CDT and Robey. No possibility they take Sharp? Not much mail on my end regarding the draft this year. Club is playing it closer to their chest.
What I have heard:
Club is super keen on Robey and CDT. Whoever is leftover after West Coast is who Richmond will pick at 3, unless Essendon offer us a deal we can't refuse to take them.
Club still torn between Grlj, Taylor and Cumming for the second pick if we don't trade and have not settled on the preference. Hearing that Cumming is the less likely of the 3. Club rate Taylor as being potentially elite, but also see him as less of a needs based pick depth wise than what Grlj does, esepecially with Yze now wanting to focus on quick ball movement.
Essendon really keen on Sharp if they can't get CDT/Robey. Bombers nuffie and also has leadership qualities that the club wants to back in, similar to us with Cotchin. They see him as potentially a cultural builder, future captain and will help when Merrett leaves/retires. Bombers could also be tempted by pairing Sharp with Cumming to help ease the go home factor. Xavier Taylor is a potential pick for them as well with Redman and Ridley aging and not being able to stay on the park.
Hawks and Dees very high on Jacob Farrow. Reckon Dees take the slider of Taylor or Cumming as well.
Keep an eye out for Leon Kickett or Louis Emmett with our pick in the 30's as well.
Cummings and Grlj won't make it past Essendon and Melbourne.Depending on who’s phantom ranking you look at, if we split 4 with blues could walk away with
Robey
Cumming
Grlj / Phillipou

The deficit for Ison would come in round two next year. It's not a round 1 deficit, thus not effecting the collateral needed for walker next year. Plus we don't yet know the new matching rules.Unless I'm missing something obvious, this makes no sense.
Let's just use Twomey's latest phantom form guide, which puts Dean at pick 8. Carlton also has an NGA player in Jack Ison they are very much likely to pick up, which Twomey has at pick 26. After considering the 10% discount, those picks would require about 1299 points and 505 points respectively.
If Carlton does do the proposed trade here, then the only picks Carlton hold of any real points value would be 38, 43 and 54, which totals to 475 points, which isn't even enough to match a bid for Ison at pick 26, let alone getting both.
Carlton wouldn't even want to go into a point deficit because of Cody Walker next season.
That's the most positive thing you've ever posted.Great night - the food was delicious. I think I hit the beers a bit hard so forgotten everything that was said![]()

We were sworn to secrecy. Any leaks and they won’t hold the night again. That's the most positive thing you've ever posted.
I call bullshit![]()
Yet Yze has told the players he wants them to chase success this coming season. So mids would be better.
I doubt this. Can anyone confirm? We were sworn to secrecy. Any leaks and they won’t hold the night again.
Why would we change our second pick from XT to Cumming? If we rate players surely we don’t change our minds because the Eagles took Robey, not CDT.Assuming Weagles pick Duursma and CDT, it feels likes we'll pick Robey and XT, but if Weagles leave CDT on the board we'll go CDT and Cumming.
Close thread.
We’ve had a fair bit of success drafting from Nth Adelaide in the past.Cummings and Grlj won't make it past Essendon and Melbourne.
